We are expanding our mission to save lives through robotics innovation! We are a group of passionate students dedicated to designing and building advanced rescue rovers for disaster response and emergency operations. Our goal is to excel in RoboCup Rescue and other flagship robotics competitions while pushing the boundaries of autonomous search and rescue technologies. No robotics experience, No problem. We value your dedication and eagerness for learning. During the interview, you will learn more about your role and our team's goals. We are dedicated to advancing rescue robotics research in Bangladesh, providing you with valuable hands-on experience alongside your academic journey.

The UIU Rescue Rover Team had the incredible opportunity to present our rescue rover, "AEGIS," to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh at the Bear Summit and National Semiconductor Symposium 2026. We had an amazing time showcasing the rover to a fantastic crowd of students. It’s incredibly inspiring to see so many young minds passionate about robotics. A special thanks to our honorable teachers, mentors, and United International University for their continuous support, and to the UIU Photography Club for capturing these moments.

The UIU Rescue Rover Team (URRT) was honoured to be invited to the seminar jointly organised by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Bangladesh Chapter, Uro Bangladesh, IEEE UIU Student Branch, and United International University.

It was a privilege to share our RoboCup 2026 journey at South Korea, highlighting the challenges, innovations, and experiences that shaped our participation on the international stage . Engaging with enthusiastic students and robotics enthusiasts made the session especially meaningful, and we hope our story inspires more young innovators to pursue excellence in robotics and engineering.

We were deeply honoured to share the stage with Professor Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah, Professor, Department of EEE, BUET; Chair, IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Bangladesh Chapter; and Vice-Chair of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), Power & Energy Society (PES), and Society on Social Implications of Technology (SSIT) Bangladesh Chapters,

alongside Professor Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Professor, Department of EEE, BUET; Chair, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Bangladesh Chapter; and Advisor, IEEE RAS BUET Student Branch Chapter. Listening to their valuable insights and engaging in meaningful discussions on research, innovation, and the future of robotics was truly inspiring.

A special highlight of the event was meeting Team MIST Mavirov, the 2026 MATE ROV Competition World Champions. It was a pleasure exchanging ideas and experiences with such an accomplished team, celebrating our shared passion for robotics and technological innovation.

UIU Rescue Rover Team | RoboCup Rescue League 2026

We are incredibly proud to share that the UIU Rescue Rover Team (URRT) has successfully completed its first-ever participation at the RoboCup Rescue League 2026 in Incheon, South Korea.

Competing against some of the world’s most experienced rescue robotics teams, leading research laboratories, and industrial robotics groups, our team achieved:

* Highest-ranked South Asian team at the RRL World Championship 2026
* 3rd Place Worldwide among the 9 Newcomer Teams
* 11th Place in the Tracked Robot Category
* 15th Place Overall among 27 international teams

As a first-time participant, our goal extended far beyond rankings. We came to learn from the world’s best, evaluate our technology against international standards, and understand what it takes to compete at the highest level of rescue robotics.

Throughout the competition, we had the opportunity to interact with renowned teams from Germany, Japan, Austria, the USA, South Korea, Italy, Mexico, China, Thailand, Colombia, Uruguay, and many other countries. It was an incredible experience to exchange ideas with researchers, engineers, and industry professionals who are shaping the future of autonomous rescue systems.

We are also proud to share that one of our team members, Nazmul Hasan Athin, had the honor of serving as a judge in the Plenary Round alongside some of the world’s leading researchers and experts in the field of rescue robotics. This recognition reflects the growing contribution of our team to the international robotics community.

Every challenge, every failure, every discussion, and every successful run has become a valuable lesson for our team. We are returning home with new knowledge, stronger motivation, and countless ideas to improve our next-generation rescue robot.

This is only the beginning.

We sincerely thank United International University (UIU), our advisors, faculty members, supporters, sponsors, alumni, and everyone who believed in us throughout this journey.

The road ahead is long, but we are excited for what comes next.

It was a great opportunity to introduce Aegis, share our work, and connect with fellow robotics enthusiasts who are passionate about advancing technology and engineering.
