It's a valuable tool for evaluating liver anatomy, assessing liver function, and detecting conditions like portal hypertension, thrombosis, or portosystemic collaterals.
Timing:
The images are obtained during the portal venous phase, which typically occurs around 35-45 seconds after the start of contrast injection in bolus tracking method.
