প্রথমবারের মতো দেশে উৎপাদিত ফুল নিয়ে খামারবাড়ির কৃষিবিদ ইন্সটিটিউট মিলনায়তনে দুই দিনব্যাপী ‘ফ্লাওয়ার ফেস্ট’ শুরু হয়েছে গতকাল মঙ্গলবার। মেলায় অংশ নেওয়া ফুল ব্যবসায়ী ও চাষিরা এসব দাবি তুলে ধরেন। দেশি ফুলের বৈচিত্র্যের সঙ্গে মানুষের পরিচয় বাড়ানো, ফুলের সামগ্রিক ব্যবহার বৃদ্ধি এবং দেশে ও আন্তর্জাতিক বাজার সম্প্রসারণের লক্ষ্যে বাংলাদেশ ফ্লাওয়ার সোসাইটি (বিএফএস) এবং উইন্ডমিল এ মেলার আয়োজন করেছে। আয়োজনে সহযোগিতা করেছে ইউএসএআইডির এভিসি প্রকল্প ও অনলাইনভিত্তিক ফুল বিক্রির ওয়েবসাইট দেশিফুল ডট কম।
