🎉 Good News for Skilled Migrants in Tasmania! 🇦🇺
Tasmania has received 2,050 state nomination places for the 2026–27 Skilled Migration Program :
✅ Subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated Visa: 1,250 places
✅ Subclass 491 – Skilled Work Regional Visa: 800 places
This represents an increase of 200 places compared with 2025–26, when Tasmania received 1,200 places for subclass 190 and 650 places for subclass 491. The most significant increase is in the subclass 491 allocation, which has risen by 150 places.
This is positive news for skilled applicants who are currently living, studying or working in Tasmania, as well as those genuinely planning to relocate to Tasmania and build their long-term future there.
Tasmania’s Skilled Migration State Nomination Program is expected to reopen for new Registrations of Interest in the coming weeks, with further details to be announced.
