BUP Economics Club is going to organize the third season of the inter-university policy-making competition - POMAC 3.0 .

➤ 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:

1. This competition is only for 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 students.
2. Each team is allowed to have either 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 members.
3. The formation of a cross-university team is 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝.
4. Teams can be formed from diverse department backgrounds.
5. Freshers are strongly encouraged to participate.

➤ 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬:

✪ 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 : A preliminary workshop will be hosted by BUP Economics Club on the ideas and other procedures for the rounds. Hints and strategies for later rounds and policies will be included too. A brief discussion about policymaking methods and techniques can be significantly helpful for both competition and the future.

• 𝐷𝑎𝑡𝑒: 15𝑡ℎ 𝑂𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑏𝑒𝑟 2022
• 𝑉𝑒𝑛𝑢𝑒: 𝑂𝑛𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒

✪ 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝟎𝟏 : A collective economic case will be given to each competing team. The primary goal is to identify policy flaws and the underlying causes of those flaws. Prioritizing major drawbacks and avoiding minor ones are requirements for participants, who must also logically make use of real data, reports, and results from peer-reviewed publications. The emphasis in this round will be on precision and appropriate reasoning. Competitors will be required to point out the applicable laws and/or regulations, taking into account the period since Bangladesh's independence. The pool's top 20 teams will advance to the next round.

• 𝐷𝑎𝑡𝑒: 16𝑡ℎ 𝑂𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑏𝑒𝑟 - 18𝑡ℎ 𝑂𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑏𝑒𝑟 2022
• 𝑉𝑒𝑛𝑢𝑒: 𝑂𝑛𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒

✪ 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝟎𝟐 : This will be a face-off round where qualifying teams will debate other teams at random. Each team must represent the case in such a way that at least three members participate and deliver their speeches. Every member presenting the case will have to give the speech for at least three minutes. Each opposing team will do the same, but the speech will be delivered alternately. 𝐎𝐍𝐄 member from each team must offer a "𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥" or criticism to their opposing team at the end of the round. As a result, each team will have 12-15 minutes to defend their cases during this round. They will also need to respond to the questions posed by the respected judges. The top six teams qualifying for the grand finale of 𝐏𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐂 𝟑.𝟎 will be determined by their cumulative marks.

• 𝑉𝑒𝑛𝑢𝑒: 𝐵𝑈𝑃 𝐶𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑢𝑠

✪ 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐞 : Qualified teams will be provided with a completely new case. They have to solve the case, providing feasible and viable solutions. After completing the task, they have to give a formal presentation in front of a house panel. The presentation will focus on the strength, uniqueness, adaptability, and cost-benefit analysis of the policy solution in light of the new context and current national budget. A house of experts will be formed to question and criticize the policy and presentation, which will include other finalists, judges, and audience members. Attempting to defend the questions and criticisms will be important in the evaluation and value judgment process.

২০২২ সালের ক্যাম্পের প্রতিযোগীদের নিয়ে দীর্ঘ প্রশিক্ষণের পর বাছাই করা হয় ৬ জনের টিম যেখানে নেতৃত্ব দেন মোঃ আরমান হাসান, ফাহিম রাজিত হোসেন এবং মোঃ মাহমুদুন্নবী এবং পর্যবেক্ষক হিসেবে সার্বিক সহযোগিতায় ছিলেন তুর্য রায়। দলের সদস্যরা ক্যাম্পে এবার খুঁটিনাটি জ্যোতির্বৈজ্ঞানিক জ্ঞান অর্জন করে গাণিতিক এবং পর্যবেক্ষণিক বিভিন্ন স্কিল অর্জনের মাধ্যমে। বিডিওএএ কমিটি থেকে উন্নত ট্রেনিং এবং প্রস্তুতির প্রিপারেশন নেওয়া শুরু হয়েছে ২০২৩ এর আয়োজনের!
