The State University of Bangladesh (SUB) was established in 2002 under the Private University Act of 1992, as amended in 1998. As an initiative by the Labaid Group, SUB aims to prioritize and contribute significantly to the education sector of Bangladesh. Beginning with a modest offering of
courses in health sciences, the university has since expanded to encompass 10 academic departments under three schools/institutes. Today, it stands as one of the premier private universities in Bangladesh. Our academic curriculum is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and the medium of instruction is English. SUB currently houses three academic schools: the School of Business and Social Sciences, the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and the School of Science and Technology. The ten academic departments operating under these schools are:

Our courses are taught by highly qualified and experienced professors, associate professors, and lecturers, many of whom hold PhDs and Master's degrees from accredited universities such as Dhaka University, the University of Southern Mississippi (USA), Cardiff University (UK), and Otto-von-Guericke University (Germany), among others. SUB is dedicated to serving the nation through its academic programs, research, seminars, and collaborations, preparing future generations to face the challenges of a global economy. The Board of Trustees (BoT) is the supreme policy-making and approving body of SUB, comprising distinguished personalities of Bangladesh. Dr. A M Shamim, Managing Director of Labaid Group, serves as the current President of SUB, and Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman is the current Vice President. Other members of the BoT include:
