On June 18, 2026, the Department of Management at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) successfully hosted two highly impactful, sequential career seminars at the university’s International Conference Hall. The day commenced with an engaging workshop titled "Beyond the CV: Building Your Professional Presence on LinkedIn," conducted by Mr. Fardin Helal, Lecturer, Department of Management, BUBT. During this session, he shed light on the paramount importance of having a strong digital footprint in today's competitive job market, sharing practical insights on profile optimization, personal branding, and strategic networking on LinkedIn to attract global recruiters.

Following the workshop, the department proudly presented the prestigious "Vice Chancellor Lecture Series" in collaboration with the BUBT Research Graduate School, focusing on "Corporate Career Pathways: Opportunities and Growth." The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Afzalur Rahman, First Vice President, Products - Digital Banking at City Bank Ltd. Drawing from his extensive expertise, he discussed the rapid technological evolution in the banking industry, fintech integration, and modern corporate culture, providing students with actionable strategies to navigate corporate hierarchies and achieve sustainable professional growth. Marked by enthusiastic participation and dynamic Q&A exchanges, these back-to-back events successfully equipped the future leaders of BUBT with critical tools and visionary perspectives for their upcoming corporate journeys.

Industrial Visit to Kaptai Hydroelectric Power Plant.

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), BUBT proudly organized an enriching industrial visit to the Kaptai Hydroelectric Power Plant for the students of the 36th, 37th and 38th Intake (Day), accompanied by our respected faculty members. This visit provided students with an invaluable opportunity to witness the practical implementation of concepts learned in the classroom. From exploring power generation units and control systems to understanding the operational aspects of Bangladesh's largest hydroelectric power station, participants gained firsthand exposure to real-world engineering practices.

Beyond the technical learning experience, the visit fostered curiosity, teamwork, professional awareness, and a deeper appreciation for the role of sustainable energy in modern society. On 18 June 2026, the BUBT Club Advisory Committee formally presented a summary report of the activities of all BUBT clubs to Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUBT. The report was handed over under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Syed Masud Husain, Convenor of the BUBT Club Advisory Committee and Dean of the Faculty of Business & Economics.

Economics Olympiad 2026: BUBT to Bring Together young Minds from across Bangladesh

The Department of Economics, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) is going to organize the much-anticipated Economics Olympiad 2026 on the 20th June at International conference Hall (ICH), BUBT, a prestigious academic initiative aimed at fostering economic awareness, analytical thing, and intellectual curiosity among higher secondary students from different colleges across Bangladesh to showcase their understanding of economics and explore its relevance in contemporary society.

The program will commence with an inaugural session in the morning, which will be graced by Dr. Mustafa K. Mujeri, executive director, Institute for Inclusive Finance and Development (InM) as the inaugural guest speaker. The guest is expected to encourage students to embrace intellectual excellence and recognize the transformative role of economics in addressing real world challenges to build a more sustainable future.

In the afternoon, Dr. Md. Abdur Rouf, Professor, Economics, Department of Humanities, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) will join the program as Session’s chief guest and interact with the participants through and engaging academic session.

Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUBT, Professor Dr. A.B.M Shawkat Ali and Professor Dr. Syed Masud Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, BUBT are expected to grace the occasion, alongside respected academics, university officials and invited guests. Vice Chancellor Lecture Series on 'Corporate Career Pathways: Opportunities and Growth' Organized by Department of Management in Collaboration with BUBT Research Graduate School.

Sudipto Ghosh is a Bangladeshi academic, researcher, educator, and IEEE volunteer leader in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. He completed his B.Sc. in CSE from Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) and is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in CSE at Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET).

Currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of CSE at BUBT, he teaches programming, software engineering, and core computer science courses while mentoring students in academic and research activities. His academic journey spans software development, web and mobile applications, IoT, robotics, blockchain, and intelligent systems.

His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Vision, Cybersecurity, Natural Language Processing, and Intelligent Systems. He has published multiple research papers, conference articles, and book chapters with renowned publishers such as IEEE and Springer.

A former competitive programmer, Sudipto participated in ICPC preliminary rounds, IEEE Xtreme competitions, and solved over 650 programming problems, strengthening his analytical and problem-solving skills. He also gained industry experience as a Remote Software Engineer Intern at Cloud Counselage Pvt. Ltd., India.

Beyond academics, he is actively involved in IEEE leadership and professional activities, serving in committee roles for IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter and IEEE Photonics Society Bangladesh Chapter. His long-term goal is to become a globally recognized researcher and academic leader, contributing to advanced research in Artificial Intelligence and intelligent computing systems for societal impact.
