We are so proud to announce that DEH alumna, Nusrat Zaman (Batch 182), has received her Masters in Linguistics from the University of New Hampshire, USA and is joining the fully-funded PhD program in Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi, USA in Fall 2026.

Nusrat is an alumna of ULAB's BA in English program.

DEH invites all students of ULAB to the workshop series, "kɔt̪ʰa: The Language of Ordinary Life" organized by the Department of English and Humanities in collaboration with the ULAB Language Club.

The sessions will be facilitated by Dr. Mahmud Hasan Khan, Professor, Department of English and Humanities, ULAB.

Interested students committed to completing the 3-session workshop series on Conversation Analysis, including the data collection and analysis methods, are recommended to register at
https://forms.gle/o6y6evkiaJrPQ7Rs9 by June 1, 2026.

All the registered students will face an interview with Dr. Mahmud Hasan Khan and ONLY 10-12 students will be selected to attend the workshops. Interview dates will be emailed to registered students.

Upon successful participation in all three sessions, the students will receive a certificate that will recognize their learning, dedication and effort.
