IELTS BUZZ - the first of its kind in Bangladesh is the International English Language Testing System to overcome common challenges in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening modules.
Our 21 hour per week intensive program has proven results, with most students progressing by 0.5 per course (in accordance with British Council guidelines). The course is designed for students who are prepared to work hard to improve their IELTS score in a shorter period of time. It also aims to provide students and corporate professionals with the knowledge and practical skills and application required to successfully prepare to take the Academic or General Test. It is specifically designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication and even covers variations such as British English, American and Australian English. Part of the assessment is a real-life conversation that will allow you to communicate effectively with English speakers across the globe.
It is recognized by universities and employers in many countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA. It is also recognized by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies.
IELTS BUZZ has been developed by some of the world’s leading language assessment experts and will test the full range of English skills needed for success in your new job or study placement abroad.
There are four modules, to the IELTS BUZZ test: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. While all students take the same Listening and Speaking tests, they sit different Reading and Writing tests, depending on whether they have selected the Academic Stream or the General Training Stream. Students must sit in all four modules.
IELTS Academic
If you’re planning to attend university for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or you want to work with a professional organization, you’ll need to take our IELTS Academic test.
IELTS General Training
For studying courses below degree level, work-related training or if you intend to emigrate to an English-speaking country, our IELTS General Training will provide you with the language skills you’ll need to participate fully in your country of choice.

IELTS BUZZ Listening Module lasts for about 30 minutes. It consists of four sections, played on audio, in order of increasing difficulty. Each section might be a dialogue or a monologue. The test is played once only, and the questions for each section must be answered while listening, although time is given for students to check their answers.
IELTS BUZZ Reading Module lasts for 60 minutes. Students are given an Academic Reading test or a General Training Reading test. Both tests consist of three sections, and in both tests, the sections are in order of increasing difficulty.
IELTS BUZZ Writing Module also lasts for 60 minutes. Again, students take either an Academic Module or a General Training Module. Students must perform two writing tasks, which require different styles of writing. There is no choice of question topics.
IELTS BUZZ Speaking Module consists of a one-to-one interview with a specially trained examiner. The interview is recorded, and it will last for approximately 11-14 minutes. It has three separate parts:
An introduction and interview
An individual long turn where the candidate speaks for one or two minutes on a particular topic
A two-way discussion thematically linked to the individual long turn.
Note: Course outline will be disclosed to you in the classroom!
Students are expected to complete approximately one hour of homework every day. Practice tests are completed every week in class to monitor progress.Opportunities for formative assessment are offered throughout the course, for students to gain feedback on completed tasks and evaluate their ability to use the recommended skills and strategies. For example, each unit features an authentic IELTS Buzz-style practice task which students can complete. These practice tasks are accompanied by feedback tools such as answer keys, advice on wrong answers, and self-evaluation checklists. As this is a preparation course, we recommend that participants should take a real IELTS Buzz test when they feel ready to do so, so that they can receive an IELTS score and gain further information about their English language proficiency.Classes follow a British accredited course book which students receive upon joining the course and the teacher will also provide supplementary practice materials. Teachers focus on the individual needs of the students in their classes. For example, teachers may divide the class into small groups at times to help students with particular areas of difficulty.
You’re welcome to join us from the first week of December 2018! We have 100-150 students at any one time and lots of different classes. Even if you come halfway through a term, we can find a good starting point for you. And then if you find it too difficult or too easy, we can change your class or give you extra help to catch up. Beginner students should come as close to the start of term as possible. Sometimes it’s possible for beginners to start part way through a term, so do contact us to check.
