The Axolotl, often called the “Mexican walking fish,” is actually a unique type of salamander that lives its entire life underwater. It is native to Lake Xochimilco in Mexico City and is easily recognized by its feathery external gills and gentle, smiling appearance.

One of the most remarkable features of the axolotl is its incredible regenerative ability. It can regrow lost limbs, parts of its heart, spinal cord, and even sections of its brain, making it extremely valuable for scientific research and studies on regeneration.

However, the axolotl is now critically endangered in the wild due to habitat loss and pollution. Protecting this extraordinary amphibian is important not only for biodiversity but also for future scientific discoveries.

Honoring the spirit of freedom on Bangladesh Independence Day. Today we remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who fought for our nation’s identity and sovereignty.

Their bravery gave us a flag, a language, and a homeland we proudly call our own. Let us carry forward their legacy with unity, respect, and love for our country.
