After the photo selection by the honorable judge of "Life Around You - 6" and found that number of photos really not that much which meets the GH exhibition standard. We are really sorry to announce that we are postponing the exhibition . We will do the call for entry soon. Thank you for your submission and thank you a lot for being with Grasshoppers. GRASSHOPPERS PHOTOGRAPHERS COMMUNITY (GH) is always believe ‘Learn to Share’ knowledge of photography. GH helps newbie and amateur photographers to grow their dedication in photography through a solid basic photographic platform through their own resources like GH School (school.grasshopper.me), GH Workshops and others. Besides, GH promotes every year new and prominent photographers through their grand event Grasshoppers Photo Exhibition, “Life Around You”. GH mains moto is to explore and promote to others all hidden talents of photography.
GRASSHOPPERS PHOTOGRAPHERS COMMUNITY (GH) is going to organize its 5th Photography exhibition called ‘Life around you-5’. This year it gonna be a huge photo fest.It will be a three days long Photo Festival with well-known and amateur photographers in Bangladesh and from other countries,going to be held on 19th, 20th and 21th October, 2017 at Bangladesh Shilpokola Academy, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
GRASSHOPPERS PHOTOGRAPHERS COMMUNITY is a community that supports all photographers for better photography. We are expecting more than 10 thousand visitors this time. There would be also approximately 1,00000 visitors in online.GRASSHOPPERS PHOTOGRAPHERS COMMUNITY (GH) is delighted to partner with corporations, foundations, and individuals to present its exciting exhibitions to our large national and international audience.
As part of GRASSHOPPERS PHOTOGRAPHERS COMMUNITY (GH) 5 years of achievements, we are excited to announce the call for entry for our upcoming 5th Photo Fest " Life Around You - 5 " by Grasshoppers Photographers Community on 19-21 October, 2017 at Shilpakola Academy, Segunbagicha, Dhaka.
WHO CAN ENTER:
This exhibition is open for all, who have serious passion and dedication for photography.
HOW TO ENTER:
The theme of the exhibition is “Life Around You”, whatever you are able to see around you. Photos from all genres are eligible.
There will be Two (2) categories for submitting photographs:
SECTION 1: SINGLE IMAGE
i. Life Style. ii. Street, iii. Conceptual, iv. Landscape, v. Portrait, vi. Macro, vii. Wild Life, viii. Nature, ix. Fine Arts, x. Festivals.
While submitting Single Image, please check out the following rules and conditions:
# Each participant can submit maximum (4) Nos of photos.
# All images files must be in JPEG format, and at least 3000 pixels wide on the longer side, minimum resolution should be 300 DPI.
# Size of all photos in total must not exceed 25MB.
# Entries are acceptable Color or Black & White photographs.
# No Border or No Watermarks are acceptable.
# Each photo should be renamed as _____.jpg
For Example: Parvez Khaled_01711080332_parvezkhaled_01_Smile_Portrait.jpg
If there is no caption then write down, “Untitled”.
# Submit your photos through a single email to our email address: “[email protected]”. Subject of the email should be __"
# We shall give you a confirmation mail after getting your mail. If you do not get any confirmation mail from us, please mention this to our Facebook & Flickr exhibition event.
SECTION 2: PHOTO STORY / SERIES
In this section, any kinds of subject can be applicable.
While submitting photo stories, please check out the following rules and conditions:
# Each participant can submit maximum (2) Two Nos. of Photo Stories / Series
# Each photo stories/series should contain at least 3 upto 10 photos.
# All images files must be in JPEG format, and at least 3000 pixels wide on the longer side, minimum resolution should be 300 DPI.
# Entries are acceptable Color or Black & White photographs.
# No Border or No Watermarks are acceptable.
# Size of all photo stories/series in total must not exceed 25MB.
# Photo Stories/Series must be submitted in a ZIP file and renamed to ___.zip
Inside which the photos should be renamed to _
# The ZIP file must contain a document file with the description of the photo series.
# Submit your photo series in an email to [email protected]. Subject of your Email should be Photo Series/Stories_Your Name_Your Phone Number
As per decision of the jury board, sequence & number of photos in a photo series might be changed.
# We shall give you a confirmation mail after getting your mail. If you do not get any confirmation mail from us, please mention this to our Facebook event & Flickr thread.
SUBMISSION PERIOD:
Submission period starts from 12.01am 1st August, 2017 and will continue till 11:59pm 10th September, 2017. No submission will be accepted after 10th September, 2017.
SELECTION LIST:
Selected participant’s list will be published on our Facebook event and also flickr thread. Participants will also be notified personally through email/mobile sms.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
Selected photographers will have to submit a registration fee of 1300 BDT per selected photo and a fee of 2500 BDT per selected photo series. Participants will be contacted via email/phone call after publication of the result & will be informed about how to submit the registration fees.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
# Photographer must be the sole owner of his/her work.
# Basic post processing like minor burning, dodging and/or color correction is acceptable, as is cropping.
# Each Entry does not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content.
# Each Entry does not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
# GH Authority may use the submitted photographs only for promotional activities.
# In case of any sale taking place during the exhibition, you will receive 70% of the price.
# Authority reserves the right to change anything without prior notice.
