An Industrial Visit to Malek Spinning Mills Ltd., Shafipur (Kaliakoir), Gazipur, is completed with the students of 59th batch (Section C). Rajib Saha, Assistant Professor and Md. Shahadat Hossain,Lecturer, have facilitated the visit. The students have observed the key sections of the ring spinning and laboratory facilities. Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam, General Manager, along with other designated officers, generously took the time to explain various aspects of the spinning mill. The discussion also covered the potential internship and job opportunities for our students.

We extended sincere gratitude to the mill authority for their gracious cooperation and hospitality throughout the visit.

A farewell program was organised by the Dept of Textile Engg for Prof Dr Engr ANM Ahmedullah on Aug 27,2026 at 1.30 PM in the cafeteria of SEU. The Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Dean of Engg Faculty. Registrar in charge. DTE faculty members and staffs attended the program.

Southeast University proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Al-Sajid (Batch 59), Department of Textile Engineering, for becoming the Champion of “Threads Strokes” at TEXATHON, a flagship segment of AATCC Textile Week 2026, organized by the AATCC AUST Student Chapter.

This achievement reflects the creativity, technical excellence, and competitive spirit of our students, bringing pride to the Department of Textile Engineering, Southeast University.

The university also proudly acknowledges Mehedi Hasan (Batch 55), Department of Textile Engineering, who served as a Campus Ambassador for the event and contributed to connecting students with this platform of innovation and industry engagement.

We have completed an Industrial Visit to Akij Textile Mills Ltd., Golora, Manikganj, with the students of 58th batch (Sec - A). Dr. Md. Shamim Alam Sir and Md. Shahadat Hossain, have facilitated the visit. The students have observed the key sections of Spinning, Weaving and Yarn Dyeing. Mr. Md. Shafikul Islam, Deputy General Manager (Spinning), was kind enough to explain different aspects of the industry to our students. The discussion covered the potential internship and job opportunities for our students.

✨ Seminar Highlights | 22 July 2026 ✨

We are delighted to share some memorable moments from our seminar on "Prospects of Textile Testing to Meet the Requirements and Demands of Buyers and Consumers for the Growth of Textile Industries in Bangladesh."

The seminar provided valuable insights into modern textile testing, international quality standards, buyer and consumer expectations, quality assurance practices, and the growing career opportunities in the textile testing sector. It served as an excellent platform for bridging academic knowledge with industry practices.

The event was organized by the Department of Textile Engineering, Southeast University, in collaboration with the SEU Textile Club, with the aim of strengthening industry-academia interaction and preparing future textile professionals to meet global industry demands.

We express our sincere gratitude to our distinguished keynote speaker, Mr. Md. Khairul Alam Mojumder, Deputy Manager, Textile Lab, Intertek Bangladesh, for delivering an inspiring and informative session by sharing his valuable industry expertise and practical experiences.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our respected Chairman, faculty members, and the organizing team of the Department of Textile Engineering and the SEU Textile Club for their continuous guidance, dedication, and support in making this event a great success.

We have completed an Industrial visit to Shirin Spinning Mills Limited, Gorai, Mirzapur, Tangail, with the students of batch 59th (Section D). Prof. Engr. Mashud Ahmed, Chairman, Prof. Dr. Engr. ANM Ahmed Ullah and I, myself Md. Shahadat Hossain, Lecturer, have facilitated the visit. Students observed use of automation in modern Spinning with less workforce and more productivity. They have also observed the triple source power generation system, including solar energy. Mohammad Mohi Uddin, Executive Director, was kind enough to explain various aspects of the industry. The discussion also covered potential internship and job opportunities for our students.

We are also thankful to the Shirin Spinning Mills Ltd authority and specially to Mr. Md. Mohiuddin, ED of the Mill for unprecedented reception and hospitality.

A factory visit to Al-Haj Karim Textiles Limited, Kalampur, Dhamrai, is completed with the students of batch 52nd and 58th (Section B). Prof. Dr. Engr. ANM Ahmed Ullah and Md. Shahadat Hossain, Lecturer, have facilitated the visit. Special thanks to our respected Chairman Sir, Prof. Engr. Mashud Ahmed for his effort to make it happen. Students observed all the key sections of Spinning - Blowroom, Carding, Drawframe, Simplex, Ring frame, Winding along with their Lab facilities. Engr. S.M. Mizanur Rahman, Executive Director (Factory) was kind enough to explain different aspects of the industry. The discussion also covered potential internship and job opportunities for our students.

The students of Batch number 51 of the Department of Textile Engg., Southeast University, visited Intertek BD. on May 04, 2026, to gather practical knowledge about various textile & allied testing services provided by the renowned multinational company. The students were accompanied & guided by Dr. Md. Shmim Alam (Associate Professor), Dr. Engr. Moyinul Islam (Assistant Professor), and Md. Shahadat Hossain (Lecturer)
