We gonna discuss a very important topic of English Grammar today.

Topic: Verb and its classification***

Verb: কোন কাজ করাকেই verb বলে। যেমন: I _play_ cricket. এখানে play একটি verb।

Verb প্রধানত দুই প্রকার। যথা:
১. Finite verb
২. Non finite verb

Finite verb দুই ভাগে বিভক্ত:
১. Principal verb
২. Auxiliary verb

Principal verb দুই ভাগে বিভক্ত :
১.Transitive verb
২. Intransitive verb

আবার, Auxiliary verb দুই ভাগে বিভক্ত:
১. Primary auxiliary verb
২. Modal auxiliary verb বা modals

On the other hand (অন্যদিকে)-

Non finite verb তিন ভাগে বিভক্ত:-
১. Participle
২. Gerund
৩. Infinitive

Thou(দাউ) - তুমি, তুই
Thy(দাঈ) - তোমার, তোর
Thee(দী) - তোমাকে, তোকে

(Preposition, Conjunction, Interjection)


Placed before a noun or a pronoun & show the relation of other word of the sentence.( noun বা pronoun এর আগে বসে এর সঙ্গে sentence এর অন্য word এর সম্পর্ক নির্দেশ করে)
: In, Into, For, From, Off etc.


Connecting or joining words / clause (একাধিক word বা clause কে যুক্ত করে)
: And, But, For, If, Yet, Unless etc.


expression of sudden feeling (আকস্মিক ভাব প্রকাশক)
: Alas! (হায়!), Fie (ছি!), Hush!(চুপ!), Hurrah! etc.

Parts of speech ইংরেজীর একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়। শুদ্ধভাবে ইংরেজী জানতে এবং লিখতে হলে parts of speech জানা আবশ্যক।

Part অর্থ অংশ এবং speech অর্থ বক্তব্য ।অর্থাৎ Part of speech হল বক্তব্য বা বাক্যের অংশ ।
Part of speech : বাক্যের অন্তর্গত প্রতিটি অর্থবোধক word বা শব্দকে Parts of speech বলে।
ইংরেজীতে Parts of speech আট প্রকার।
1. Noun (বিশেষ্য)
2. Pronoun (সর্বনাম)
3. Adjective (বিশেষণ)
4. Verb (ক্রিয়া)
5. Adverb (ভাব বিশেষণ)
6. Preposition (পদান্বয়ী অব্যয়)

8. Interjection (আবেগসূচক অব্যয়)
