• KO Fight Studio is run by Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain (4th Dan) who is the country representative of World Karate Organization (WKO), Shinkyokushin.
• World Karate Organization (WKO), Shinkyokuhsin is the largest full contact karate organization in the world; it is present in more than 120 countries.
• Kyokushin karate is a full-contact martial art originated from Japan. It is a style of stand-up fighting and is rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline and hard training. It was founded in 1964 by Korean-Japanese martial artist Masutatsu Oyama. Kyokushin Karate focuses on realistic combat and physical toughness and its main elements are technique, forms and sparring.
• Full contact karate refers to a style of karate where one is allowed to hit their opponent using full force, which makes it very close to real fighting.
• Some of the famous Kyokushin Black-belts in popular culture includes Dolph Lundgren (Hollywood Action Hero), Michael Jai White (Hollywood Action Hero) Bas Rutten (UFC Legend), George Saint Pierre (UFC Star), Uriah Hall (UFC Star) and Andy Hug (K1 Legend).

On Saturday, August 8th, KO Fight Studio proudly held its August Kyu Grading, conducted by Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain — President, Country Representative & Branch Chief of WKO Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh.

Our fighters stepped onto the tatami with spirit, strength, and perseverance, proving once again that Kyokushin is more than martial arts — it’s a way of life.

On August 11, history was written on the tatami at KO Fight Studio. To celebrate his 26th birthday, Senpai Siaam Ibn Ali took on the ultimate test of physical endurance, discipline, and Budo spirit—the 𝟮𝟲-𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲.

26 full-contact, back-to-back fights against a lineup of determined fighters. Through every round, every strike, and pure exhaustion, the spirit of Kyokushin prevailed.

On behalf of KO Fight Studio and WKO Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh, we honor the life and memory of 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝘂𝘇𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗱𝗮 (9th Dan), Chief Advisor to the IKO Kyokushinkaikan, who passed away on August 12, 2026, at the age of 86.

As one of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama’s original students from the 1950s, Shihan Goda dedicated his entire life to teaching, guiding, and preserving the spirit of Kyokushin. His legacy will forever inspire martial artists across all factions and generations.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family, students, and the global karate community.
