Building the Profile Behind the Future ๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŒ

The journey to a world-class university does not begin in Grade 12. It begins much earlier, with curiosity, consistency, ambition and the purposeful discovery of each learnerโ€™s unique strengths.

On 17 August 2026, Glenrich Uttaraโ€™s Career Counselling Department launched the Profile Building Club for the new academic session, beginning with Grade 8 students. The structured journey will continue with students through Grade 12.

The inaugural session, โ€œRoad Map to Top 10 Universities Around the Worldโ€, brought together around 40 students to explore what leading universities look for beyond examination results. From super-curricular activities and leadership to research, innovation, community involvement, recommendations and personal statements, students discovered how meaningful experiences can shape their future pathways.

The Profile Building Club is designed to help students start early, explore their interests, take initiative, develop leadership, engage in meaningful projects and understand the value of creating an authentic profile over time.

Because a university profile is more than a collection of certificates. It is a reflection of a learnerโ€™s growth, purpose, achievements and impact.

With sustained guidance from Grade 8 to Grade 12, Glenrichโ€™s Career Counselling Department is helping students turn potential into meaningful experiences, and meaningful experiences into opportunities at some of the worldโ€™s leading universities.

Erab Muqtadir Skates for Bangladesh at the Asian Speed Skating Track Series ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ…

We are immensely proud of Erab Muqtadir, Grade 9, who represented Bangladesh at the prestigious Asian Speed Skating Track Series 2026 in Lishui, China, from 9 to 12 August.

With an outstanding performance on the international stage, Erab secured 1 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medals, marking another proud milestone in his sporting journey. He was also selected as a national player by the Bangladesh Roller Skating Federation.

Behind every medal are countless hours of practice, perseverance and focus. Erabโ€™s achievement reflects the discipline, dedication and determination that continue to shape him both on and off the track.

From Glenrich to Kyoto: A Journey Built on Consistency, Courage and Purpose ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐ŸŽ“

For Fardin Mansif Abian, Class of 2025, a journey that began at Glenrich Uttara has now taken him to Kyoto University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering through the International Course Program (ICP).

His achievement goes beyond securing a place at one of Japanโ€™s most distinguished universities. Fardin has also been awarded the prestigious MEXT Scholarship, which covers his full tuition and provides a ยฅ120,000 monthly stipend.

A Scholar Award recipient in 2024 and 2025, Fardin maintained an average above 90% in his AS and A Level examinations while actively contributing beyond the classroom.

As President of the STEAM Club and GLENMUN VII, Head of Concert Management for RockFest 2024, and a six-year member of the Glenrich Mustangs Senior Basketball Team, he developed the leadership, discipline and teamwork that shaped his journey.

Reflecting on his time at Glenrich, Fardin shares, โ€œFrom 2009 to 2025, Glenrich Uttara is where I grew up. I will forever cherish the memories.โ€

His advice to those following behind is simple: โ€œBe consistent.โ€

What if confidence could be felt before a single word is spoken?

On 13 August 2026, students from Grades 6 to 12 explored 'The Power of Body Language: Building Confidence, Communication & Leadership Skills,' in an engaging session on confidence, communication and leadership.

Led by Dr Jamal Uddin Jamy, PhD in Leadership Behavior, internationally Certified Trainer, TEDx Speaker and NLP Practitioner, the session helped students understand how posture, gestures, facial expressions and eye contact can shape the way they communicate and connect with others.

Through practical insights, students discovered how small changes in the way they carry themselves can help them communicate with greater confidence, express their ideas more effectively and build stronger connections.

Because communication goes beyond words. It is in how we stand, how we listen and how we make others feel.

89 Awards. One Defining Moment of Academic Excellence. ๐ŸŽ“

On 25 July 2026, Glenrich Uttara proudly stood among Bangladeshโ€™s top Cambridge achievers at the 25th Daily Starโ€“Prime Bank O & A Level Awards 2026, held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre, Purbachal.

This year, Glenrich Uttara secured a remarkable 89 awards, including 64 in IGCSE and 25 in A Level, recognising students who met the rigorous standards of The Daily Starโ€™s national O & A Level recognition programme.

The ceremony brought together 2,545 high-achieving students from 121 English-medium schools, including 84 O-Level World Toppers, 42 O-Level Country Toppers, 28 A-Level World Toppers, and 9 A-Level Country Toppers. Our five World Toppers from the Mayโ€“June 2025 session were also honoured on this prestigious stage.

Our students received their medals and certificates from Mr Bobby Hajjaj, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education, in the presence of Mr Mahfuz Anam, Editor and Publisher of The Daily Star, along with distinguished leaders from education and industry.

But beyond the medals lies something deeper.

These awards represent years of consistent effort โ€” from Playgroup to Grade 12 โ€” shaped by discipline, guided by teachers, supported by parents, and driven by perseverance.
