The “Players Draft” event for the SU Inter-Department Cricket Tournament–2026 was held at the auditorium of Sonargaon University, marking an important milestone in the university’s sports activities. The event was inaugurated by Engr. Abdul Alim, General Secretary of the Board of Trustees, SU, while Engr. Abdul Aziz, Honorable Chairman of the Board of Trustees, SU, attended as the Chief Guest.

Among the special guests were Advocate Umme Salma, Member of the Board of Trustees, Azizul Bari (Sheepu), Adviser of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ekramul Islam, Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bulbul Ahamed, Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Rabiul Islam (Milton), Additional Executive Director (Marketing & Communication), Walton Group. The session was chaired by Mehrab Hossain Johsy, Director of the Sports Division, SU.

Organized jointly by the SU Sports Division and SU Sports Club, this draft event officially marked the beginning of the tournament and is expected to further strengthen sportsmanship and competitive spirit among the students of the university.

Seminar on Criminological and Victimological Contexts in Bangladesh

The Department of Law successfully hosted an academic seminar titled "Bio-Psycho-Social and Spiritual Perspectives in Human Behavior: Criminological and Victimological Contexts in Bangladesh."

🎙️The session was elegantly presided over by Sharmin Jahan Runa (Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Law), whose leadership continues to steer the department toward academic excellence.

The event was filled with intellectual rigor and great enthusiasm from both students and officials.

The curtain has closed on 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 - 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵’𝘀 largest international exhibition for the infrastructure industry - and Sonargaon University (SU) made a remarkable impact.

Organized by 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱, this three-day mega event brought together over 300 companies from more than 15 countries. Among leading academic institutions, SU was proudly selected as one of only three universities to showcase cutting-edge research and its potential for real-world business transformation.

Impressed industry experts with visionary and sustainable high-rise building designs.

𝗦𝗨-𝗜𝗗𝗖 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵:
Our Permeable Concrete project successfully attracted corporate partnerships, evolving from a research concept into a market-ready business venture.

𝗔 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
The final day of the exhibition marked a historic moment for SU. We had the honor of welcoming Mr. John Grime, a renowned green energy pioneer from Australia, along with Bangladeshi expert Shyamal Pal Jackey. They spent valuable time at our pavilion, reviewing students’ renewable energy projects and offering insightful mentorship. Their appreciation reflects the strength and quality of research and innovation at SU.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱:
This experience has been a significant milestone for our students, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industrial application. Sonargaon University remains committed to advancing Research and Development (R&D) and contributing to a smarter, more sustainable Bangladesh.
