🏆 Breaking Barriers: Bangladesh’s Only Female Level-2 Certified Squash Coach! 🏆

​We are thrilled to announce that Ms. Marjan Monika, IUB’s dedicated Squash Coach, has officially completed the WSF Level-2 Squash Coaching Course and received her certification! 🎓🎾

​The certificate was presented by the State Minister of Sports & Youth of the Government of Bangladesh in a ceremony celebrating the growth of the sport through an International Level 2 Squash coaching training, which was inaugurate at the IUB Squash Court, and the morning training sessions where held at IUB Squash Court from April 20-25 with the closing ceremony held at Army Squash Complex.

​Ms. Marjan Monika now holds the unique distinction of being the only female Level-2 certified squash coach in Bangladesh. This is not just a personal victory, but a significant leap forward for women in sports leadership across the country.

Cholonto Canvas 4 – 🎨 A Day They Painted, A Memory We Kept, organized by the IUB Art Club - IUBAC last weekend, right after the Spring 2026 final examinations.

This thoughtful initiative reflects the club’s continued commitment to community engagement and creative outreach. Bringing art beyond campus, the team spent a meaningful day with young students, encouraging expression, imagination, and joy through painting.
The theme “My School” was beautifully interpreted by the children, each artwork capturing personal stories, friendships, and their everyday world with remarkable honesty. It is encouraging to see how such simple platforms can create lasting impact.

DoSA appreciates the dedication, planning, and ex*****on demonstrated by the IUB Art Club. Initiatives like this not only promote artistic practice but also strengthen our culture of empathy, outreach, and student-led leadership.

We look forward to seeing more such meaningful engagements in the future.

🎾 WSF Level-2 Squash Coaching Course 2026 at IUB 🎾

We are pleased to share that the Bangladesh Squash Racket Federation (BSRF) and DoSA is organizing a 6-day long WSF Level-2 Squash Coaching Course at the IUB Squash Court.

The session is being conducted by Maj S. Maniam (Malaysia) as the Lead Tutor, with Mr. Fazle Wali Ahmed (Bangladesh) serving as Assistant Tutor. The programme was formally inaugurated by Professor M. Tamim, Vice Chancellor of IUB, who joined as the Chief Guest.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Head of the Division of Student Activities (DoSA), Director, Council Affairs, and Brig. Gen. Quamrul Islam, General Secretary of BSRF, along with other distinguished guests and squash players.

We are proud to note that Ms. Marjan Monika, IUB Squash Coach, along with 18 participants, is actively taking part in this intensive training programme. Upon successful completion, our coach is expected to achieve the official WSF Level-2 Coaching Certification, further strengthening IUB’s sports expertise.

DoSA remains committed to regularly hosting such professional development initiatives at the IUB Squash Court in collaboration with BSRF, contributing to the growth of squash in Bangladesh.

It is also worth highlighting that IUB is the only private university in Bangladesh with a state-of-the-art squash court, where students have the opportunity to play free of cost under the supervision of one of the country’s leading female squash coaches.

We look forward to continued partnerships that enhance both professional standards and student engagement in sports at IUB.

এই আয়োজনকে আরও নান্দনিক ও প্রাণবন্ত করে তোলার জন্য IUB Art Club - IUBACকে আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ। বিশেষ করে ক্যাম্পাসজুড়ে করা আলপনা পুরো পরিবেশে এক অনন্য সাংস্কৃতিক আবহ তৈরি করেছে।
