Today, the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Ghulam Murtaza of European University of Bangladesh along with the Pro Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Registrar, Departmental Chairmen, Controller of Examinations, Director of PCU and Director of Admissions conducted a highly interactive and constructive session with all faculty members of the university.

The session focused on the comprehensive preparations for the upcoming Summer Semester including examination activities, admission enhancement initiatives and maintaining the overall quality of education. The university authorities also exchanged Eid greetings with the faculty members creating a warm, cordial and family-like atmosphere throughout the program.

During the discussion, the Honorable Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of dedication, professionalism, discipline and excellence in teaching. He encouraged all faculty members to work collectively for the betterment of the students and the university while continuously improving their teaching methodologies, research engagement and academic responsibilities.

He further inspired the teachers to become role models for students through sincerity, integrity and commitment to quality education. Today, a heartfelt farewell program was held at the Office of the Honorable Vice Chancellor of European University of Bangladesh in honor of the esteemed retiring guards, recognizing their unwavering dedication, loyalty, honesty and long years of sincere service to the university community.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Proctor, Advisor of Student Welfare, distinguished Chairmen of different departments along with respected officials of the university. Their presence reflected the institution’s deep respect and appreciation for the retiring guards who served the university with commitment and integrity throughout their careers.

During the program, the speakers shared heartfelt remarks highlighting the invaluable contributions, discipline, punctuality and devotion of the retiring guards in maintaining the safety, security and peaceful academic environment of the university. They acknowledged that their tireless service and dedication will always be remembered with gratitude and respect by the entire EUB family.

The farewell ceremony became an emotional and memorable occasion as colleagues and university authorities expressed their sincere appreciation and extended best wishes for the next chapter of their lives. The university prayed for their continued good health, happiness, peace and prosperity in the years ahead.

Today, at the European University of Bangladesh (EUB), a highly significant and interactive session was held with the MBA students in the esteemed presence of the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Ghulam Murtaza along with the Honorable Treasurer, Registrar, Proctor, Controller, Director (Admission and Student Affairs), Director (Legal Affairs), Chairman of the Department of Physics and other distinguished officials of the university.
The session focused on students’ career development, future planning, and the importance of setting clear academic and professional goals. The Honorable Vice Chancellor emphasized the need for students to stay dedicated to their studies, develop strong leadership skills and align their education with current industry demands to ensure a successful future.
Furthermore, the university authorities highlighted the excellent facilities of EUB, including a supportive academic environment, modern learning resources, career development opportunities and student support services aimed at overall growth.
The session concluded with an inspiring message, encouraging students to become competent, ethical and forward-thinking professionals who will contribute to both national and global development.

The Honorable Vice Chancellor assured all students regarding the three star marks and stated that there is no reason for concern. He informed everyone that the university administration is actively working on the matter with the highest priority and the necessary steps have already been taken to resolve the issue as soon as possible. He further mentioned that continuous communication with the University Grants Commission is underway and the university authorities remain fully committed to protecting the academic interests and future opportunities of all students.

Meeting with the Secretary, Ministry of Education

An important meeting was held today the 20th of May 2026 between Education Secretary Mr. Abdul Khaleque and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Ghulam Murtaza to discuss matters of EUB related interest.

The meeting partucularly focused on withdrawal of 3 red stars recently incorporated against EUB and arrangement of 2nd Convocation.

Dr. Murtaza briefed the respected Secretary and requested to take steps as soon as possible to withdraw 3 red stars and expedite all approval procedures of 2nd Convocation.

The Secretary came in consensus with the Vice Chancellor to take necessary steps to remove 3 red stars and complete necessary approval for the 2nd Convocation for the greater interest of the students.

Pro Vice Chancellor Designate, EUB, Prof. Golam Ahmed Faruqui extended support to the VC in discussion.

At the end, VC, EUB presented EUB Quarterly News Bulletin, Annual News Bulletin of the Department of Economics and EUB Desk Calendar to the Education Secretary.

The Secretary appreciated the standard of the publications including Desk Calendar.

Networking Session at the University Grants Commission - UGC.

UGC invited the European University of Bangladesh along with other Public and Private Universities to attend the above-mentined net working Session between Bangladeshi and Malaysian Universities on 18 May 2026 at the UGC Auditorium.

Registrar and Adviser Students Welfare from EUB attended the session.

His Excellency, Malaysian High Commissioner Mohd Shuhada Othman graced the occasion as Special Guest.

The Session elaborated the procedures of getting admission at Malaysian Universities.

Acting Chairman, UGC attended as Chief Guest.

EUB would try to sign MoU with a quality Malaysian University for teachers students exchange Program.
