Every like, share, comment, suggestion, and piece of support has helped NSU Daily HUB become one of the largest student-focused platforms connected to North South University. This milestone isn't ours alone—it belongs to every student, alumnus, faculty member, and well-wisher who has been part of this journey.
From campus updates and academic information to student achievements and community stories, our goal has always been to keep the NSU community connected.

NSU এর Microbiology বিভাগের 232 batch এর শিক্ষার্থী Md Iftekharul Alam Tameem গত ২ তারিখ কক্সবাজার থেকে বাইকে করে ঢাকা ফেরার পথে চট্টগ্রামের চন্দনাইশ কাঞ্চনাবাদ স্কুলের পাশে একটি বেপরোয়া গতির ‘ঈগল পরিবহন’ বাস তামিমকে পিষে দেয়। বাসটির ধাক্কায় ওর বাইকটি দুমড়ে-মুচড়ে গেছে, আর আমাদের তামিম রক্তাক্ত অবস্থায় ছিটকে পড়ে যায় রাস্তায়।

ওর বামের চোয়াল ভেঙে গুঁড়ো গুঁড়ো হয়ে গেছে। সুন্দর করে কথা বলা তো দূরের কথা, ওর মুখের ভেতরের দাঁতগুলো মাড়ি থেকে সম্পূর্ণ আলাদা হয়ে গেছে। একই সাথে ওর বাম পায়ের হাঁটুর বাটি এবং ফিমার হাড় ভেঙে চুরমার হয়ে গেছে। যন্ত্রণায় ছটফট করার ক্ষমতাটুকুও ওর শরীর হারিয়ে ফেলেছে।

এলাকার মানুষ ওকে উদ্ধার করে চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেলে নিয়ে গিয়েছিল। কিন্তু ঈদের ছুটির কারণে দীর্ঘ ২৪টি ঘণ্টা পার হয়ে গেলেও কোনো বড় ডাক্তারের দেখা মেলেনি। এদিকে তামিমের অবস্থা প্রতি মুহূর্তে খারাপের দিকে যাচ্ছে। ওকে বাঁচাতে হলে এখনই, এই মুহূর্তেই চোয়াল এবং পায়ের বড় অপারেশন করতে হবে। বাধ্য হয়ে ওকে সরকারি হাসপাতাল থেকে প্রাইভেট হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হচ্ছে।

বর্তমানে সে পাচলাইশ পার্ক ভিউ হাস্পাতালের আই সি ইউ তে আছে (বেড নং- ২)। ওইখানের ডাক্তাররা জানিয়েছেন তার মস্তিষ্কের রক্তক্ষরণ হচ্ছে যা কিনা অনেক বড় বিপদজনক একটা অবস্থা।

To Freshers at North South University: Some Advice for Your Journey

A short guide to help you survive and thrive at NSU. Read carefully and keep these in mind from your very first semester.

⚪ Attend your first few classes seriously
First impressions with teachers matter more than you think.

⚪ Don’t miss quizzes or classes
Faculties count every attendance and participation. Even the smallest quiz can affect your grade.

⚪ Understand the academic buildings
NSU has two main buildings: SAC and NAC.

SAC 202 = SAC Building, 2nd Floor, Room 202

NAC 601 = NAC Building, 6th Floor, Room 601

⚪ Make friends, but choose them wisely
Your circle will impact your growth or downfall. Stick with the right ones.

⚪ Work on your English speaking
It will improve your presentations, confidence, and career opportunities.

⚪ Maintain at least a 3.00 CGPA
Scholarships, Erasmus, Masters, or becoming a TA or Student Worker all require it.

⚪ Learn from seniors
Not just for notes, but for guidance, tips, and networking.

⚪ Use the library
It is one of the best in Bangladesh, quiet and resourceful—perfect for studying.

⚪ Attend seminars and workshops
Most happen in Audi 801 or Syndicate Hall. Opportunities often hide where fewer people go.

⚪ Lift Etiquette

• Do not talk loudly inside lifts.
• Give minimum respect to faculties when they are in the lift.
• Always maintain a queue.

⚪ Avoid unnecessary relationships
If you’re not ready, don’t waste time and energy.

⚪ Take care of your health
Eat properly, walk, and stay active. Physical fitness improves mental focus.

⚪ Keep your parents informed
They may not understand everything, but they care the most.

⚪ Respect everyone
Cleaners, guards, café uncles—your behavior is your real degree.

⚪ Try public speaking
At least once per semester. It reduces fear and builds confidence.

⚪ Don’t compare yourself
Everyone’s journey is different. Move at your own pace.

⚪ Use AI smartly
Learn with it, but don’t cheat. Faculties can easily detect it.

⚪ Think beyond marks
Skills, mindset, and experience will matter more in the long run.

⚪ Create a LinkedIn profile
Start early to build your network and personal brand.

Your university life will be what you make of it. Make it meaningful, make it fun, and most importantly, make it yours.
