AIS founded in 1994, is a professional organization whose purpose is to serve as the premier global organization for academics specializing in Information Systems. AIS is organized into three regions:
• North and South America
• Africa and Europe
• Asia and Pacific region Chapters were originally formed by areas within the US, but more recently a number of international chapters have been formed.
