From BRAC University to Oxford, Nafisa Tabassum is taking her work in refugee rights, human rights and justice further.

A graduate of BRAC University’s School of Law, Nafisa has now embarked on an MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies at the University of Oxford, on a full scholarship from the Oxford Department of International Development (ODID).

Her journey to Oxford includes a Summa Cum Laude Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law from the Geneva Academy, also pursued on a full scholarship.

Before Geneva, Nafisa worked with BRAC University’s Centre for Peace and Justice, contributing to research on the lives of Rohingya refugees and co-authoring the Model Law for Refugees in Bangladesh.

As BRAC University celebrates 25 years of excellence, Nafisa’s journey reflects the impact of an education that extends beyond the classroom — equipping graduates to engage with some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

From BRACU to Oxford, her journey continues — with impact at its heart 🌍
