To mark "July Mass Uprising Day 2026" SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka organized a series of events including an art competition and an essay writing contest.

A discussion session was also held to highlight the historical significance of the day. The event was chaired by the Principal, Mrs. Rafia Akhter, who delivered a meaningful address honoring the immense sacrifices of the July Martyrs. The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognizing the winners of the competitions.

On July 19, 2026, SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka observed a "Memorial Meeting" in remembrance of "July Shaheed Dibos-2026" in the college auditorium at 12:30 pm.
The program started with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a one-minute silence observed in memory of the July martyrs. Two students from Class XI delivered speeches on the significance of the day, and two teachers also spoke in memory of the martyrs.
Later, Md. Golam Mowla, the Vice Principal of the college, delivered a short speech in which he advised the students to show their utmost honor and respect to the July martyrs for their sacrifice to the nation. He also demanded justice for the martyrs and prayed for their departed souls.
Finally, the program concluded at 1:30 pm.

On 07.07.2026 SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka arranged a "Seminar on the Role of Parents to raise Awareness of their Children's Mental Health." in College Auditorium.The guardians of Preparatory to class -II were present there as audience.
The seminar was conducted by Mrs. Mushtary Begum, Psychologist, Bangladesh Psychiatric Care.
At 11 am Md. Golam Mowla,Vice Principal of the College, introduced Mrs. Mushtary Begum to the Guardians.
Then she displayed a power point presentation on the Role of Parents specially "How to raise Awareness of their Children's Mental Health".
There was also a question -answer session where the guardians asked their inquisitive questions and the psychologist answered them cordially. The guardians are pleased after joining this seminar.
The seminar was ended at 12:30 pm.

অত্যন্ত গভীর দুঃখের সাথে জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, নবম শ্রেণির প্লুটো শাখার মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থী আহনাফ তালুকদার গতকাল রাতে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় ইন্তেকাল করেছেন। ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন।

আহনাফ ছিল আমাদের সবার অত্যন্ত প্রিয় একজন শিক্ষার্থী। তার হাসিমাখা মুখ, বিনয়ী আচরণ আজ শুধুই স্মৃতি। এত অল্প বয়সে তার এভাবে চলে যাওয়া আমাদের হৃদয়কে গভীরভাবে ব্যথিত করেছে।

তার মৃত্যুতে আমরা গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করছি এবং মহান আল্লাহর কাছে দোয়া করি, আহনাফকে যেন জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস নসিব করেন এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারকে এই অপূরণীয় ক্ষতি সহ্য করার শক্তি দান করেন।

SOS Hermann Gmeiner College, Dhaka, organized an "Eid Reunion" on April 11, 2026. The students were delighted to celebrate the day. Dressed in new clothes, they roamed around the campus and enjoyed various games and sports. They also took group photos with their classmates and class teachers. Finally, the program concluded after the distribution of lunch packets.

Independence Day Observation 2026:

SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka observed Independence Day 2026 with due solemnity. The program commenced at 12:45 pm with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Following the opening, two students from Class VIII led a discussion highlighting the historical importance of the day.
Representing the faculty, Mrs. Amerun Nahin Niti and Md. Abdullah Al Mamun delivered concise yet impactful speeches describing the profound significance of Independence Day.
In her address, the Principal of the college, Mrs. Rafia Akhter, urged the students to uphold the spirit of patriotism. She advised them to show profound honor and respect to the martyrs of 1971 and to dedicate themselves to the service of the country.
The program concluded at 1:45 pm with a vibrant cultural function featuring patriotic songs, poetry recitations and dance performance
