SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka

SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka arranged a program to observe the "Victory Day-2025" in College Auditorium with due respect and solemnity. The program was presided by Mrs Rafia Akhter, Principal of SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka.
By the presence of the Vice Principal, Teachers and Students, the program was started at 9.30 am by hoisting national flag and singing National Anthem.
Then a student recited from the holy Quran.
Describing the significance of the day delivered a short speech by-

4. Mrs. Rafia Akhter, Principal & the Chairperson of the program.
Next the students arranged a cultural function with a befitting manners. They performed patriotic songs, recitation and dance.At last Principal Madam thanked them all for joining the program and making it successful.

SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka arranged an "Annual Class Party-2025" on 06/12/2025, Saturday at 9.30am. Decorating the class room colourfully, cutting cake, both the students and Teachers enjoyed the day with festive mood. Hon'ble Principal Madam & VP Sir visited their party spontaneously. After photo session and refreshment, the class party was ended at 10.30 am.

SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka arranged a "Crest Awarding Ceremony for HSC GPA -5.00 Achievers - 2025"
on 09.11.2025 at Helmut Kutin Auditorium.
The function was presided by Mrs. Rafia Akhter, Principal,SOS HGC Dhaka and the Chief guest was Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, Chairman, Governing Body, SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Dhaka & National Director, SOS Children's Village International in Bangladesh.
In the presence of class XI, XII & GPA 5.00 Achievers, the function was started at 10.00am by the recitation from Holy Quran.
At first one of the GPA 5.00 Achievers expressed her reaction.Then Md. Iqbal Hossain, Lecturer in Physics and their Class Teacher, delivered a welcome note wishing them a bright future. Next the Principal Madam congratulated them all and advised them to be honest and sincere in life.
Later, the Chief guest distributed Crest among the GPA -5.00 Achievers.The audience greeted them warmly.After Crest Awarding session , the Chief guest delivered an inspiring speech to encourage the students. He inspired them to acquire knowledge through studying attentively, develop humanity through helping others and respecting the elders .He also emphasized on maintaining the rules of health to enjoy a sound body and mind.
The program ended following a refreshment among the GPA 5.00 Achievers.

SOS Hermann Gmeiner College arranged a "Freshers' Reception Program-2025" for HSC 1st year on 06.11.2025 at 11.30 am in Helmut Kutin Auditorium.
The program was started by the recitation from the Holy Quran.
Then Shahrin Mubaswira ,a student of Omega group,1st year, expressed her feelings & reaction before the audience.
Next ,Mrs. Shaheli Rumana, Lecturer in English, on behalf of the Class Teachers, delivered a short speech to encourage the Freshers'. She inspired them to be honest and sincere in life. She also advised them to be regular and attentive in the class to make a brilliant result in future .
Afterwards, a mind blowing cultural function was arranged by the students of 2nd year.Everyone enjoyed the function.
Finally, the program came to an end at 1.30 pm.

SOS Hermann Gmeiner College arranged an "Orientation Program-2025" for the newly admitted students of class XI (session 2025-2026) on 15 September,2025 at Helmut Kutin Auditorium.
Mrs.Rafia Akhter, Principal of the College,was present as the Chairperson of the function. The program was started at 10.00 am with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Then Mr. Golam Mowla, Vice Principal of the College, delivered his welcome Note.He welcomed both the students and guardians on behalf of the Teachers.He also described the rules and regulations (do's and don'ts) shortly.
Moreover, he introduced the teachers with the students. The Class Teachers of class-XI also addressed their students by their names.
Next, the Principal Madam delivered her speech.She welcomed the students and advised them to attend the classes regularly for achieving the excellence of their education.She also advised them to follow the rules and regulations of the College, listen to the words of their teachers and parents which will enable them to be a good student as well as a good citizen in future.
Finally, she thanked them all and declared the end of the program at12.15 pm.

Then the Freshers' and their guardians were allowed to visit the Labs, Library and whole campus by the guidance of their Class Teachers.
