Mohammad Monirul Islam, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Kyrgyzstan ( with residence in Tashkent, Uzbekistan) held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs,H. E. Mr. Temirbek Erkinov and discussed issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in the fields of economy, education and employment. He also exchanged views with the leadership of several Medical Universities based in Bishkek, with a particular focus on further strengthening educational collaboration between Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan. Bangladeshi doctors, be careful about this university's Medical post-graduation program ❌

Illegal Medical Diplomas Given to Foreign Students in Kyrgyzstan

On July 14, the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) announced that they had discovered an illegal scheme at the International Medical University in Kyrgyzstan (IMU)

According to their investigation, some teachers at the university worked together with foreign students. These teachers took money to fake academic records and test results, even though the students were not actually in Kyrgyzstan or attending classes.

After this fake training, the foreign students were given official medical diplomas. The SCNS said this kind of cheating damages the reputation of Kyrgyzstan’s higher education system around the world.

Authorities are now working to identify everyone involved in this crime.

This is not the first time such problems have happened. Earlier, 59 foreign students were expelled from Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev, 153 from Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, and 2,710 from Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn for similar issues.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the head of the International Medical University is Yelisey Sin, and the founders are Arstanaly Zhumaliev and Roza Amanova. Arstanaly Zhumaliev is the son of Kubanychbek Zhumaliev, a former member of the Kyrgyz Parliament.
