মেডিকেল কলেজে এবার ভর্তি পরীক্ষা হবে না

সরকারি ও বেসরকারি মেডিকেল কলেজে ভর্তির জন্য এবার কোনো পরীক্ষা হবে না। মেধা তালিকার ভিত্তিতে এমবিবিএস ও বিডিএস কোর্সে শিক্ষার্থীরা ভর্তি হতে পারবেন। এ ক্ষেত্রে মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চমাধ্যমিকের ফলাফলে মোট জিপিএ আট থাকতে হবে।
আজ রোববার স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবারকল্যাণ মন্ত্রণালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত সভায় এ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়। সভায় স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী আ ফ ম রুহুল হক, স্বাস্থ্যসচিব মোহাম্মদ হুমায়ূন কবির, স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের জ্যেষ্ঠ কর্মকর্তা, বিএমএর প্রতিনিধি ও বেসরকারি মেডিকেলের প্রতিনিধিরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
ভর্তিসংক্রান্ত বিজ্ঞপ্তি শিগগিরই প্রকাশ করা হবে বলে সভায় জানানো হয়।

Humayun Ahmed dies
Humayun Ahmed, 64, has died at a New York hospital after a nine-month battle against colon cancer. Wife Meher Afroz Shaon, younger brother Mohammad Zafar Iqbal and publisher Mazharul Islam were at the Bellevue Hospital at the time of death.
