SMDF is a non profit organization for development, research and cultural learning with a special focus on the rights of children and youth, and has been working since 2005 in Bangladesh.We work to promote such rights through education, health, and sports. We have a separate research wing for evidence-based policy research and advocacy. The organization aims to support the development and well being of children, especially from poor disadvantaged backgrounds through education and health interventions. It currently grants merit-based scholarships to students from low-income families, provides school-based training on Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to teachers and students (in partnership with BIRDEM) and organizes a annual schools basketball tournament in association with the Bangladesh Basketball Federation. SMDF has strong links with the development community in Bangladesh and is capable of delivering high quality development
inputs effectively and efficiently.
