Dear All,
After the long braeak and the Covid-19 situation, we are delighted to inform you that the Scandinavian Study Centre and Cent for Advanced Research in Arts and
Social Sciences (CARASS), University of Dhaka hosted a special seminar to commemorate the Bangabandhu
Centennial.

Professor Dr. A. S. M. Maksud Kamal, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Dhaka, graciously
joined as the chief guest at this seminar. Ms. Anna Svantesson, honourable First Secretary of the Swedish
Embassy in Dhaka, attended the seminar as a guest of honour. Professor Dr. Abdul Bashir, Dean, Faculty of Arts,
University of Dhaka also joined us on this occasion.

The keynote speaker of this seminar was Mr. Anisur Rahman, a Bengali-Swedish poet-writer and board member at the
Swedish Writers Union.

Scandinavian Film Festival 2017

Scandinavian Study Center, University of Dhaka with the support of the Royal Norwegian Embassy, The Embassy of Sweden, and the Embassy of Denmark brings you the very first Two-day long Scandinavian Film Show Festival.

Six very different Scandinavian (Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish) films will be screened at the TSC, University of Dhaka

Some snapshots from the last day film show at TSC of Dhaka University, where the Honorable Ambassador of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka, Her Excellency Ms. Sidsel Bleken enjoyed the film show along with the director of the SSC and the Audience. Around 200 audiences enjoyed the exciting Norwegian film 'Kon-Tiki'.
