BUFT Signs MOUs with Four Organizations to Strengthen Academia-Industry Collaboration

BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Mojumder Group, Grameen Health Limited (Shukhee), E-Zone HRM Limited, and Oeti Bangladesh at a ceremony held at the BoT Conference Room of BUFT on 17 May 2026 to strengthen academia–industry collaboration and strategic partnerships. The agreements aim to enhance industry engagement, student internships, career placement, healthcare support services, training, research collaboration, skill development, and professional capacity building.

The MoUs were signed by Mr. Syed Mohd. Sajjad, Managing Director of Mojumder Group; Dr. Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, CEO of Grameen Health Limited (Shukhee); Mr. Mominul Ahsan, Managing Director of E-Zone HRM Limited; and Mr. Mohiuddin Sheek on behalf of Oeti Bangladesh. Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT), signed the agreements on behalf of BUFT. The ceremony was attended by the Member of BoT, Mr. Mohammed Nasir; Vice Chancellor (Designate), Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan; along with deans, heads, senior university officials, faculty members, and the coordinator of the MoU program, Mr. Malick Shamim Akhtar, Senior Coordinator of the Career Development Center (CDC). Speakers highlighted the importance of academia-industry partnerships in enhancing employability, innovation, and sustainable development, while partner organizations expressed commitment to creating impactful opportunities for students and professionals.

BUFT Launches Fall Semester 2026 Admission Fair

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) has launched its 5-day Fall Semester 2026 Admission Fair starting from 17 May 2026 at the university’s permanent campus in Turag, Dhaka. The fair begins daily at 10:00 AM & continues until 4:00 PM. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT. Among others present at the inauguration were Vice Chancellor (Designate) Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, the Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor and Treasurer, Registrar, Deans, Department Heads, faculty members, officials, and students. Applicants collecting admission forms during the fair will enjoy a 50% waiver on admission fees, while merit-based tuition scholarships of up to 75% are also being offered. Students completing spot admissions will receive attractive gifts. For the Fall Semester 2026, BUFT will offer 16 undergraduate and postgraduate programs under 7 faculties, along with 5 certificate courses and 3 diploma programs. Visitors to the admission fair will also have the opportunity to receive career guidance from experienced faculty members and professional career counselors.
