🚫 শিশু ধর্ষ*ণ ও নির্যাতনের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের সম্মিলিত অবস্থান 🚫

গত বৃহস্পতিবার, ২১ মে ২০২৬, শিশু ধর্ষ*ণ ও নির্যাতনের ঘটনায় জড়িতদের সর্বোচ্চ শাস্তি নিশ্চিতের দাবিতে মানববন্ধন করেছে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির ডিপার্টমেন্ট অব ফার্মেসির শিক্ষার্থীরা।

ফার্মেসি বিভাগের “Art of Living” কোর্সের শিক্ষক আনোয়ার পারভেজ স্যারের উদ্যোগে এবং Pharmacia Club-DIU এর তত্ত্বাবধানে আয়োজিত এই মানববন্ধনে শিক্ষার্থীরা প্ল্যাকার্ড ও ব্যানার হাতে অংশগ্রহণ করেন। এসময় তারা শিশু ধর্ষ*কদের দ্রুত বিচার ও দৃষ্টান্তমূলক সর্বোচ্চ শাস্তির দাবি জানান।

কর্মসূচিতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ফার্মেসি বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক ড. শরীফা সুলতানা এবং নিউট্রিশন অ্যান্ড ফুড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের বিভাগীয় প্রধান ড. নিজাম উদ্দিন স্যার। এ সময় ড. শরীফা সুলতানা নারী ও শিশু নির্যা*তন প্রতিরোধে সামাজিক সচেতনতা, নৈতিক শিক্ষা এবং কঠোর আইন প্রয়োগের গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন। ড. নিজাম উদ্দিন স্যার শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলেন, “শুধু আইন নয়, পারিবারিক ও সামাজিক মূল্যবোধের চর্চাই পারে একটি নিরাপদ ও মানবিক সমাজ গড়ে তুলতে।”

এই মানববন্ধনে ফার্মেসি ও নিউট্রিশন অ্যান্ড ফুড ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের বিপুল সংখ্যক শিক্ষার্থী এ কর্মসূচিতে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

শিক্ষার্থীরা বলেন, শিশুদের জন্য নিরাপদ সমাজ গড়ে তুলতে ধর্ষ*কদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর ও দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শা*স্তি কার্যকর করা জরুরি। একইসঙ্গে তারা সমাজের সকলকে সচেতন ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধসম্পন্ন হওয়ার আহ্বান জানান।

An academic visit by the Department of Pharmacy, Daffodil International University to Asia Pharma Expo 2026 aimed at enhancing knowledge and understanding of contemporary pharmaceutical innovations.

Dear Students,

We are pleased to inform you that Monash University Malaysia will be hosting the Pharmaceutical Industry Skills Development Program (PISDP) from 13–17 July 2026. This 5-day intensive hands-on program is designed to provide undergraduate students with practical exposure to pharmaceutical industry practices beyond textbooks and classroom lectures.

The program will include practical training in pharmaceutical manufacturing, such as tablet and capsule production, sterile preparations, and in-process quality control. It will also cover industry-relevant topics including drug discovery, computer-aided drug design, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), regulatory affairs, sales and marketing, and BA/BE studies. In addition, participants will gain exposure to industry-grade equipment and benefit from career-focused workshops and guidance from experienced pharmaceutical professionals.

The Department of Pharmacy, Daffodil International University, expresses its sincere appreciation to the DIU Pharmacy Alumni Association for organizing the “DIU Pharmacy Alumni Meetup & Iftar–2026.”

We were honored to have Prof. Dr. Sharifa Sultana, Head, Department of Pharmacy, as the Chief Guest of the program. The event was further enriched by the gracious presence of our respected Special Guests: Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shafikur Rahman; Md. Sarowar Hossain, Associate Dean & Associate Professor; and Md. A. K. Azad, Assistant Professor & Coordinator, M.Pharm Program, along with other faculty members of the Department of Pharmacy, DIU. Delegates from the DIU Central Alumni and members of Pharmacia Club–DIU were also present, making the gathering even more vibrant and meaningful.

The meetup provided an excellent platform for alumni, faculty members, and students to reconnect and exchange ideas. Insightful group discussions were held on future goals of the alumni association, strengthening the industry–academia relationship, building a strong alumni network, exploring broader job market opportunities, and enhancing student development and professional growth.

The Department sincerely appreciates the initiative of DIUPAA President Mr. Al Amin and other members of the DIU Pharmacy Alumni Association for arranging such a thoughtful and impactful program during the blessed occasion of Iftar. We firmly believe that continued collaboration among alumni, academia, and industry will further strengthen the DIU Pharmacy community and contribute to the advancement of pharmacy education and research.
