AI feels like a massive, complicated topic, but breaking it down for kids is surprisingly simple. In fact, a 10-year-old can train their very first AI model in under five minutes.

Here is the quick breakdown of how an AI learns:

Step 1: Show it what to look for. Just like teaching a toddler what a dog looks like, we give the AI examples to learn from by taking a few quick pictures using a we**am.

Step 2: Click train and watch the magic. With one click, the computer studies the examples and finds patterns in the pixels to tell the images apart.

Step 3: Test it and make it smarter. Show the AI something brand new and see if it guesses right. If it gets it wrong, you just add more examples until it learns.

How does a kid go from stacking colorful blocks to building actual apps and AI? It’s a question parents ask us all the time, and the truth is, it’s a journey that grows right alongside them.

At MindLeap Academy, we don’t believe in one size fits all coding. A seven year old and a teenager learn completely differently, so our curriculum changes as your child grows.
