Notably, Mr. Chowdhury has been associated with Baraka Power Limited since its early days. His presence and contributions during the initial stages played a significant role in shaping the company, making this appointment a meaningful continuation of a long-standing relationship.

We Mourn...

The 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Baraka Power Limited, one of the power generation companies of Bangladesh established with the initiative of expatriate Bangladeshis, was held on 24 December 2025 at Hotel Royal Mark, located at 102, Azadi, Mirboxtula, Sylhet, in a hybrid system.

The meeting was conducted by the Company Secretary, Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Chowdhury, and formally commenced with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an. Thereafter, the Company Secretary welcomed the honorable members of the Board of Directors and the attending shareholders and initiated the main proceedings of the meeting.

In his welcome speech, the Honorable Chairman of Baraka Power Limited, Mr. Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury, expressed his sincere greetings and gratitude to all shareholders for standing by Baraka Power Limited throughout its long journey. He expressed optimism regarding the renewal of Baraka Power Limited and reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the interests of all shareholders.

Later, the Honorable Managing Director, Mr. Fahim Ahmed Chowdhury, expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the sincere cooperation of the Company’s Directors and Shareholders. He stated that during the financial year 2024–2025, the Company achieved a consolidated profit of BDT 8.46 crore, and the consolidated Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at BDT 0.36. He also explained the rationale behind the declaration of zero dividend for the year and responded to various questions raised by the shareholders.

At the 18th Annual General Meeting, the proposal of zero dividend along with all other agendas was approved.

Baraka Group’s emerging leaders recently participated in an insightful learning session titled “Mapping Your Managerial Trajectory: A Strategic Guide to Sustainable Career Growth.” The session focused on building long-term career sustainability, strengthening managerial capabilities and developing a strategic mindset essential for leadership excellence.

The program was facilitated by DGM – HR, Mr. Saiful Islam Chowdhury, who shared practical insights, encouraged self-reflection and guided participants in aligning individual career aspirations with organizational objectives.

The initiative reflects Baraka Group’s continued commitment to developing future-ready leaders through meaningful learning experiences.
