International Deutsch Olympiad

We are pleased to invite eligible students to apply for the National Round of the German Olympiad (NDO), which serves as the selection process for the International German Olympiad (IDO) 2026, to be held in Mannheim, Germany from 13–22 July 2026.



Two students selected in the national round will receive scholarships from the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh to attend the international final in Germany.



What is IDO 2026?

The International German Olympiad (IDO) is an international German-language competition organised by the Goethe-Institut. It brings together students from many countries to demonstrate their German skills at levels A2, B1, and B2. In addition to the competition, participants take part in workshops, cultural activities, and an extensive educational and leisure programme, offering a unique opportunity for international exchange and cultural experience in Germany. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

Be a student learning German at a PASCH school.
Have German language proficiency at A2, B1, or B2 level.
Have qualified through the National German Olympiad (NDO)
Be at least 14 years old and not older than 17 years during the IDO 2026 (13–22 July 2026), i.e. born between 24 July 2008 and 12 July 2012.

Pasch Youth Scholarships
We are very pleased to announce the PASCH Youth Course Scholarships for the young German language learners of your esteemed schools for the year 2026. This is a scholarship-based programme, and the scholarship for the students includes round-trip flights between Dhaka and the course location in Germany, insurance for the duration of the camp, accommodation, and meals in Germany as well as pocket money.



Important Details:

Course dates: 05.07.2026 - 25.07.2026

Course venue: Goslar, Germany (connecting airport is in Hannover)



Prerequisites for applicants:

Age: 14 to 18 years old at the time of the course (born on or after 06.07.2007 and on or before 05.07.2012)

Language proficiency level: At least have passed Fit in Deutsch 1

Restrictions:

We cannot accept applicants who are in the final year of school. We are unable to make exceptions to this rule.
Applicants who received a scholarship to Germany in the past are not eligible.
We can only accept applications of students who already possess a passport valid until 26.01.2027.
Successful candidates are responsible for organising a visa appointment on time. We will provide the necessary documents and information for the appointment but cannot organise special appointments.


A total of 6 students from Bangladesh will be selected for the scholarship. They will be accompanied by one teacher on their journey to Germany and back to Dhaka and looked after round the clock by the Goethe course team until their departure.



The selection of the participants will be divided into two rounds: 1. Pre-Selection, 2. Final Selection



Pre-Selection Process:

Eligible applicants must create a total of 3-5 slides containing photos and short captions in German, on all three of the following topics:

My Favourite Food (Mein Lieblingsessen)
My Friends (Meine Freunde)
My Pets/Favourite Animals (Meine Haustiere/Lieblingstiere)
We encourage applicants to be as creative as possible with their slides. The captions in German should not exceed the A1/A2 level. The use of any AI or translation tools will lead to the loss of credit points.



Eligible applicants must email:

The slides in any format of choice (for example, .ppt or PDF). Name the file ‘Name of student_School Name_Presentation for JuKu 2026’
Passport scan of the student (Passport must be valid until 26.01.2027).
FIT 1 and FIT 2 certificate scans, if available (For those who will take the FIT 1 or FIT 2 exams in January 2026, we will consider their results from our system). They should send the passport and certificate scans merged in one PDF file titled, ‘Name of student_School Name_Class/Grade_Application for JuKu 2026’

KIKUK 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Creative and Critical - Goethe-Institut Bangladesh 12/11/2025

Greetings from the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh!



We want to share an exciting opportunity for PASCH students: KIKUK 2.0 – Artificial Intelligence Creative and Critical. This global youth competition invites young people to creatively and critically engage with AI while shaping their visions for the future.



What is KIKUK 2.0?

The theme for 2025/2026 is “My Future with AI”, focusing on how AI will change everyday life — how we learn, work, communicate, and relax.
Students (age 14 or older) can enter in teams of 2–3.
Submissions can be in any creative format: images, videos, audio, texts, installations — as long as it uses AI tools.
Two winning teams will be selected per country; those winners participate internationally, collaborating with peers from countries like Taipei and San Francisco in the final round.


Important Deadlines & Prizes

Submission deadline: 15 November 2025
Winning teams will be honored with an international award ceremony; their artworks will be showcased in the GoetheVRsum — a virtual exhibition space.
Winners will be notified after 15 March 2026.

As the PASCH camp wraps up, the students carry home unforgettable experiences and new inspirations.The end of camp marks the beginning of new adventures ahead for the PASCH students!
