Sri Lanka Camp in October
Greetings from the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh!
This is to inform you that the Goethe-Institut is orgainizing a Regional Youth Camp and would like to invite applications from students from your schools.
Here are the details of the camp:
Topic: Islands of Diversity
Venue: Club Hotel Dolphin, Waikkal, Negombo, Sri Lanka
Dates: 21st to 25th of October 2026 (Arrival in Negombo on 21.10.26, Departure from Negombo: 25.10.2026)
Prerequisites:
Age group: 13 to 16 years
Certification: 'Sehr Gut' achieved in Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Fit in Deutsch 1
Costs:
Goethe-Institut will take over the entire costs of the lodging, board, workshops, excursions, insurance as well as 40% of the flight costs
60% of the flight cost is to be borne by the students
This is a wonderful opportunity for the participants to interact with children from other South Asian countries whilst enhancing their German language skills and broadening their horizons, thereby getting sensitized to different cultures in various workshops. The camp also offers a plethora of other activities that the children can take part in.

My JuKu Camp Journey (Part 2)

Apart from the excursions, the camp itself was filled with unforgettable moments. The classes were one of my favourite parts because they were very personal, interactive, and different from regular lessons. We were encouraged to communicate, participate, and express ourselves freely, which made learning German much more enjoyable.

The Crazy Outfit Party, our first party of the camp, was another memory I will never forget. Everyone dressed in the funniest and most creative outfits, and the entire night was filled with laughter and excitement. People from different countries came together, and it was amazing to see how quickly we formed friendships despite coming from different backgrounds.

Another small but special memory was our camp phrase “Bitte Danke Tschüss.” What started as a joke among us became something that represented our shared humour and the bond we created throughout the camp.

The people were truly the heart of this journey. Everyone from different countries was incredibly kind and welcoming. I made many new friends, including friends from e.g. Brazil 🇧🇷, Turkey 🇹🇷, India 🇮🇳, etc and those friendships made the experience even more meaningful.

The final day of the camp was filled with emotions. After spending so many unforgettable days together, saying goodbye was extremely difficult. Many of us cried because, in such a short time, we had created a bond that felt much stronger than just a camp friendship.

Looking back, the JuKu camp was much more than a trip. It was a journey of learning, cultural exchange, personal growth, and friendship. The memories, experiences, and connections I gained from this camp are things I will always treasure.

Germany Pasch Camp Visit by Fatiha Mehjabin Rida

The JuKu camp 2026 was an experience that I will remember for a lifetime. It was not just a language camp; it was a journey where I learned, explored, connected with people from different cultures, and created memories that will always stay close to my heart.

One of the most exciting parts of the camp was the opportunity to explore different places through our day trips. Our visit to Kassel was especially memorable because it was our first time experiencing “Freizeit in der Stadt,” meaning free time to explore the city on our own. Being able to walk around, discover new places, and spend time with friends outside the usual camp schedule gave us a feeling of independence and made the experience even more special.

Our trip to Wolfsburg was another highlight. We visited the Phaeno Museum, which was unlike any ordinary museum. It was a place full of interactive experiments and fascinating scientific discoveries. Instead of simply looking at displays, we could touch, test, and explore different concepts ourselves. It was exciting to see how science could be made so creative and enjoyable.

The visit to Rammelsberg was one of the most adventurous parts of the journey. Exploring the mine was a completely different experience. The underground environment, the tunnel-like structures, and the history behind the place made it feel like we were discovering a hidden world. It was thrilling while also giving us a deeper appreciation for Germany’s industrial heritage.

We also visited Kaiserpfalz, where we got the chance to experience a place filled with history and learn more about Germany’s past. Seeing such a significant historical site made the trip more meaningful and helped us understand the culture beyond what we learn in classrooms.

We would like to invite students to another edition of our 'Film Abend' at the Goethe-Institut on 19th July (Sunday), at 4pm. We were very happy to see the enthusiasm students had for the previous 'Film Abend', and we hope to see the same next week! Once again there will be a short quiz after the film where students will be able to win fun prizes based on their answers. Snacks will be provided!

Children's movie at Goethe-Institut Bangladesh . Please register with your German language teacher.

We would like to warmly invite your students to a ‘Film Abend’ (Movie Evening) at the Goethe Institut on 28th June (Sunday), at 4 pm. This evening will allow students from different schools in the PASCH network to meet each other and test their language skills while watching a German film. There will also be a short quiz on the film at the end of the screening, where students will be able to win fun prizes based on their answers. Popcorn will be provided!

Students are invited to predict which two teams will reach the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Participation is open to students from PASCH schools worldwide. Each participant can submit one prediction, and those who guess correctly will have the chance to win PASCH-net surprise packages.

To participate, students need to be registered on PASCH-net. Teachers can support students with the registration process if needed.

International Deutsch Olympiad

We are pleased to invite eligible students to apply for the National Round of the German Olympiad (NDO), which serves as the selection process for the International German Olympiad (IDO) 2026, to be held in Mannheim, Germany from 13–22 July 2026.



Two students selected in the national round will receive scholarships from the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh to attend the international final in Germany.



What is IDO 2026?

The International German Olympiad (IDO) is an international German-language competition organised by the Goethe-Institut. It brings together students from many countries to demonstrate their German skills at levels A2, B1, and B2. In addition to the competition, participants take part in workshops, cultural activities, and an extensive educational and leisure programme, offering a unique opportunity for international exchange and cultural experience in Germany. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

Be a student learning German at a PASCH school.
Have German language proficiency at A2, B1, or B2 level.
Have qualified through the National German Olympiad (NDO)
Be at least 14 years old and not older than 17 years during the IDO 2026 (13–22 July 2026), i.e. born between 24 July 2008 and 12 July 2012.
