Talented and beloved debater of the circuit, Farhan Bin Liaquat, has been fighting Stage-4 Stomach Cancer (Adenocarcinoma) since January. His career is filled with many accolades which gained him recognition and praise all throughout the circuit. Not only that his personality itself won over the hearts of many. Now it's our turn to help him in this dire time and Stand With Farhan.

🎉OUR MODERATOR IS THE BUP-IV CHAMPION !!🎉

Bangladesh University of Professionals hosted "BUP-IV 2023" event which is their annual inter-varsity debate tournament. It is also one of the most prestigious platform in the country for British Parliament (BP) format debates. 32 universities all over the country partook in this event. Including Dhaka University.

Our Moderator, Minhazur Rahman Shafin, represented Dhaka University (IBA), as a part team IBA DU A. Him and his teammate took the team all the way to the finals and ended up taking home the championship !!

Let's all celebrate and congratulate him on this amazing feat!!

📣CDS ARE RUNNERS-UP!!📣

Cambrian Debating Society participated in "Sheikh Russel, 2nd MIUDC National Debate Championship" organised by Manarat International University.

The Inter-College category had 24 participating institutions from all over Bangladesh.

Team "CDS-1" ( consisting of Mohammed Samiul Hasan, Kayanat Zahir and Sahidul Alam Zihad ) ended up finishing as Runners-up in the Inter-College category.

CDS hopes to bring forth even more amazing results in the near future.

Another year goes by for CDS! The 12th year for CDS brought about many new challenges and changes. While we are still navigating through these, CDS will continue to still prosper.

With the 13th year of the club officially on its way, CDS hopes to soon bring exciting news and build the legacy of the club even further.

We would like to say a big 'thank you' to all alumni and current members who have stuck with the club through various adversaries and trials. And we hope to make all that effort worth the wait!

On 15 April, CDS's Grand Iftar Party took place at Campus-6. Alumni and debaters took part in the iftar together. A round of debate was also held with the EC members at the helm of the teams.

With the iftar party now concluded CDS looks forward to hosting more amazing sessions and events in the future.

CDS presents, Grand Iftar Party - 2023 this Saturday, On the 15th of April! The Grand Iftar Party is a event that's sought after by all debaters and alumni alike during every Ramadan. This event brings an opportunity for all CDSians to rekindle and converse.

This year we are not only hosting a Iftar Party but will also host a new, in-house, friendly tournament among our current debaters with its very own prize giving ceremony!
