At Scholastica, we provide a well-structured and organized school leaving course for Bangladeshi students using English as the primary medium of instruction but placing equal emphasis on Bangla. We consider proficiency in both English and Bangla to be the cornerstone of a well-rounded education for the students of our nation. Scholastica's mission is to build knowledgeable and independent young individuals, who are equipped to tackle head-on the challenges of the modern-day "global village", both academically and professionally. They aspire to become active and responsible citizens, who embrace and respect people from other cultures and walks of life. Scholastica was founded in 1977 by Mrs. Yasmeen Murshed, who had begun her career in education as a teacher in various institutions. After Liberation she began teaching small groups of students at home. This led to the establishment of Scholastica Tutorial in 1977 which was the earlier name of the school. She ran the school as it slowly grew and expanded as the Chairperson of the Board of Management of Scholastica until 2007. Scholastica campuses are now located in different key areas of Dhaka city; however except the senior campus in Uttara (Sector 1), all operate in rented premises. The Senior campus in Uttara is the first custom built premises which houses students of Class VI to XII and the other campuses in Dhanmondi, Gulshan and Uttara house the students of Playgroup to Class IV in the different locations. The new campus in Mirpur is the second purpose-built campus which will eventually comprise of the complete range of classes from Class I to XII. Scholastica is dedicated to:
