আপনার সহকর্মী কোনো একটা বড় বিপদে পড়ে আপনার কাছে অসহায়ের মতো মুখ করে হেল্প চাইলেন। আপনি হেল্প করলেন। বিপদ উতরে যাওয়ার পর তিনি আপনাকে বললেন "Thanks"...

ঘটনা (২)
আপনার বন্ধুর জন্মদিনে তার সাথে তোলা আপনার খুব সুন্দর একটি ছবি গ্যালারি ঘেটে বের করলেন। তিনি আপনার কতটা আপন, সেটা বোঝানোর জন্য অনেক বড় একটা পোস্ট লিখলেন। তার সাথে আপনার দুষ্ট-মিষ্টি স্মৃতি এবং তার কোন দিকগুলো আপনার মন কাড়ে সেটা কিবোর্ড টিপে লিখে দিলেন ঐ পোস্টে। বন্ধু সে পোস্ট দেখলেন এবং কমেন্টে লিখলেন "Thank you :) "

কেমন প্রতিক্রিয়া হবে আপনার?!
"Excited হয়ে এত বড় একটা পোস্ট লিখলাম আর তার প্রতিক্রিয়া শুধু 'Thank you' এর মধ্যেই সীমাবদ্ধ রইলো! বন্ধু কি পারতো না আরও দুয়েকটা কথা লিখতে?"-তখন এমনটা ভাবা স্বাভাবিক।

অন্য মানুষটা আপনার সাথে এমন আচরণ করাতে আপনার যেমন মন খারাপ হলো, ঠিক তেমনি আপনিও কারও সাথে এমন করলে তার মন খারাপ হওয়াটা অস্বাভাবিক নয়।

আসলে, কেউ যখন আমাদের শুধু 'Thanks/Thank You' বলে সেটা কি আমাদের কাছে খুব বেশি Meaningful হয়? উত্তর হচ্ছে- 'না'।
তাহলে কী করতে পারি? আহামরি কিছু করার দরকার নেই। জাস্ট 'Thanks' কথাটাকেই একটু ঘুরায়ে বলেন। ব্যস!

কথাটার পরিবর্তে কি কি বলা যায়?

What Are the Different Types of Public Speaking?

Public speaking is the art of using words to share information with an audience. It includes speaking to audiences of any size, from a handful of seminar participants to millions of people watching on television. Mastering public speaking requires first differentiating between four of the primary types of public speaking: ceremonial, demonstrative, informative and persuasive.

Ceremonial Speaking:
Most people will give some sort of ceremonial speech during their lifetime. These speeches mark special occasions. They are common at weddings, graduations and funerals -- as well as large birthday celebrations and office holiday parties. Ceremonial speaking typically involves a toast and is personal with an intimate emotional connection to people hearing it.

Demonstrative Speaking:
Science demonstrations and role playing are types of demonstrative speaking. This type of public speaking requires being able to speak clearly and concisely to describe actions and to perform those actions while speaking. A demonstrative speaker may explain the process behind generating power while cycling to power a toaster, for example. The idea behind demonstrative speaking is that the audience members leave with the knowledge about how to do something.

Informative Speaking:
With informative speaking, the speaker is trying simply to explain a concept to the audience members. College lecture courses involve informative speaking as do industry conferences and public officials sharing vital information. In this type of speaking, the information is what is important. The speaker is not trying to get others to agree with him or to show them how to do something for themselves. Rather he is disseminating vital information.

Persuasive Speaking:
Persuasive speaking tends to be the most glitzy. Politicians, lawyers and clergy members use persuasive speaking. This type of speaking requires practicing voice inflections and nuances of language that will convince the audience members of a certain viewpoint. The persuasive speaker has a stake in the outcome of the speech. Politicians, for instance, may want votes or a groundswell of support for a pet project, while lawyers are trying to convince a jury of their position -- and clergy members are trying to win others over to their faith. The persuasive speaker uses emotional appeals and strong language in speeches.

About assaulting women and sexually harrasement.

In Bangladesh where a woman is dressed from top to bottom, she is frequently subjected to sexual harrasement. The safety of bikini-clad women in Europe beaches and the vulnerability of burqa-clad women in our country show that dress-up or attair is not responsible for a women being r***d, it is the people's mindset, that's it, there has no other reasons.

It is also our Mindset that sons are brought up with unlimited freedom of mobility. They are allowed to stay outside for a long time of period in a day to explore them without any restrictions. Parents do not regulate to watching anything on their mobile phone or do not restrict them from using degrading words to describe women. In our society men are allowed to smoke, stay out late, and party, their pre marital extra -marital sexual relationships are overlooked by parents and society because "boys always boys or will be boys.

We need to teach our boys that the strength of man is reflected in his "self control not in assaulting women."

That all means assaulting women is not a manifestation or proof of one's manliness.It is an expression of transgressed behaviour.

So we should change our Mindset, otherwise women won't get any respect from male or cannot maintain their self-respect and they will suffer continuously from different aspects.

It is our social issue, so this is important to readout.

Topic: "Mental Health"-- (First Part)
"When it is a social or individual stigma"

A few year's ago I mean on 6th September in 2015 my father Tofazzal Hossain, a freedom fighter and was a govt. job holder ---- was died. But before death he was in severe depression about different issues specially from feeling alone like others professionals after getting retirement from the job.

We think when a person get retirement from the job, he/she is no more active and can not do something for the family and society and we never try to give them company to give some good feelings for them. This is our society where very few people like to think about retire person when they feel ill and very naturally like other retire persons my father hadn't easy access to mental health care because he had grown-up in this society that stigmatised mental illness and he was also unwilling to seek any familiar or social help or any doctors cooperation.Like him lots of professionals, non professionals are in depression but no door or very few door is open to get mental health care.

Like others childrens, it was really devastating to watch my fathers sufferings which I like to say "mental disorder" but I have learned it is a systematic failure in the provision of care, in our society..

Lack of access to mental health care is hardly a developing country problem, where people are not ready to think about mental health, whatever he or she is! That's why very often we see, an establish person or position holder commit su***de or go through severe trauma. Almost, most of the people in Bangladesh is unable to access comprehensive-mental health care, where in the United States, almost half of the population is unable to a access comprehensive health care.

People who seek mental health care may face public stigma in the form of discrimination, owing to endemic microceptions about mental health or illness. When those beliefs are internalised, suffers may also struggle with self stigma like -- low-self esteem, low self efficacy and unwillingness to persue productive opportunities.

According to one study, mental health issues are responsible for 32-34 percent of years lived with disability and 13 percent disability-adjusted life years.The economic costs are enormous. According to a 2015 analysis, in the US alone, the total economic burden from mental health exceeds USD 210 billion annually. More than half of that is attributed to work place absenteeism and productivity losses, another 5 percent is attributed to socide-related costs, where companies or institutions needs to give emphasis on mental health care which is not getting importance still now.

Scientists from around the world are now seeking to adress the problems with "Countdown Global Mental Health 2030" a multi-stakeholder monitoring and accountability collaboration for mental health" launched in February. But while this element of an effective solution ---where some common desease of the society are barely negleted still now, in this 20th century?
