Dear Followers,
This page has been the home of Notre Dame English Club for a long time. It has been with us for eight litbuzzes, nine National English Carnivals and many, many more events.
Yet, with a heavy heart, we must leave our homepage for a new one due to some technical issues on our part.
Fret not! We may be switching pages, but the goal and promise of the Notre Dame English Club remains the same.

The wait is finally over, esteemed participants!

Through our Dream Weaver event (Instant Story Writing)(Intra), which took place on the 6th of August 2025, we have had the pleasure of reading through the whimsical imaginations of the iridescent minds at Notre Dame College. Though it was difficult, we, after extensive deliberation, have concluded these three individuals’ stories to be at the pinnacle of this event. Our most heartfelt congratulations to:

From all of us at NDEC, heartfelt congratulations. Now there’s too many more milestones ahead, and to the journeys that have only just begun.

Notre Dame English Club extends its deepest condolences to the victims of the tragic plane crash that occurred on July 21st at the Diabari campus of Milestone College, Dhaka. We demand accountability from the relevant authorities and mourn the loss of the souls. Let us all pray with everything we have and help in any way we can.

May those who are hurt be healed quickly, and the departed rest peacefully in eternal bliss.

This Wednesday Notre Dame English Club hosted its first ever General English Aptitude Test (GEAT). An event like no other, this rigorous yet exciting test examined each participant's proficiency. With each question being a trial of one's expertise and efficiency and each answer adding a spark to the paper, the test was a lively battle among participants. Over 150 students from all groups filled our club room to the brim!

Notre Dame English Club sees this event as a great success and sends its heartiest thanks to every participant. Your enthusiasm will surely inspire us for years to come. We encourage you to stick with us further as more of these events are yet to commence. As for the results, please keep an eye on our page regularly, we will post them as soon as possible. Hello, Knowledge Seekers!
As a part of the curriculum, we've been learning the international language for more than a decade. However, have you all ever wondered about how efficient we are in order to compete with the modern world, since we need it to secure a better future? Therefore, Notre Dame English Club is presenting you with an event to test your overall attributes of the English language, which will help you enhance the abilities you'll need in the coming times. Introducing: The General English Aptitude Test!

The General English Aptitude will test your understanding of the English language through items such as Anagrams (Jumbled Words), Translations, Admission MCQ and more!

This will be a 40-minute test; however, there are a total of 50 marks! So not only do you have to answer the questions, but you will also have to manage your time (and answers) efficiently.
To attend, please visit the registration booths in person at the college premises. For non-members, the fee is 50tk but for NDEC members, you will get 20 taka off!

Participation certificates will be provided to all, and the top three participants will get a certificate of merit as well.

So what are you waiting for, take the NDEC’s GEAT this wednesday and test your wits!
