শাহজালাল বিমানবন্দর পৃথিবীর সবচাইতে দুর্ধর্ষ নিরাপত্তা বিশিষ্ট বিমানবন্দর। এখানে চেকিং শুরু হয় রাস্তা থেকে। রাস্তায় একবার গাড়ি থামায়, তারপর ব্রিজে উঠার সময় গাড়ি থামায়, তারপর ড্রপ পয়েন্টের আগে একবার গাড়ি থামিয়ে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে অনেক সময়।
ভেতরে ঢোকার আগে বিশাল লম্বা লাইন লেগে যায়, কারন শাহজালাল বিমাবন্দর হচ্ছে বিশ্বের একমাত্র বিমানবন্দর যেখানে প্রবেশমুখে পুরো স্ক্যান করা হয়।
তো, আপনি ঢোকার আগেই চারবার চেকিংয়ের শিকার হবেন, যেটা দুনিয়ার অন্য কোনো এয়ারপোর্টে হয় বলে দেখিনি। ভেতরে ঢুকে দেখবেন শত শত লোক গলায় ব্যাজ লাগিয়ে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে। এরা নানান সরকারি সংস্থার লোক হিসেবে বিমানবন্দর ম্যানেজমেন্টে আছেন। যাত্রীর বেশি না এসব ব্যাজধারী সরকারি লোক বেশি, মাঝে মাঝে চিন্তায় পড়ে যাবেন।

যাক, ভেতরে গেলেন।
তারপর বিমানে উঠতে হলে অবশ্যই ইমিগ্রেশন অফিসারের সামনের চিপা গলি দিয়ে আপনাকে যেতে হবে। ইমিগ্রেশন শেষ হওয়ার পরে একটা ছোট গেট দিয়ে বের হতে হবে, সেখানে আবার ইমিগ্রেশনের সিল দেখার জন্য আরেকজন ইমিগ্রেশন পুলিশ বসে থাকেন। ( এটাও দুনিয়ার কোথাও আপনি দেখবেন না।)

সবশেষে রয়েছে বোর্ডিং গেটের সামনের ফাইনাল নিরাপত্তার চেকিং। জুতা খুলে, বেল্ট খুলে, ঘড়ি খুলে যেতে হবে। পাসপোর্ট দেখবে, বোর্ডিং কার্ড দেখবে। তারপর ঢুকতে পারবেন।

তো, এই পর্যন্ত মোট ৭টা পর্যায়ে আপনাকে নিরাপত্তা তল্লাশি পার হয়ে বিমানে চড়তে হবে।

মফস্বলের শিশু জোনায়েদ একা একা ঘুরতে এসে একেবারে বিমানে চড়ে বসেছিল। শেষ সময়ে সিটের চাইতে লোক বেশি হওয়ায় এয়ারহোস্টেসরা বিষয়টি ধরতে পেরে তাঁকে নামিয়ে দিয়েছেন।

এই সপ্তস্তরের নিরাপত্তা, এই শত ব্যাজধারীর হুতুম হাতুম, সবকিছুকে এই শিশু একাই দেখিয়ে দিয়েছে, 'রাজা, তুমি ন্যাংটো!'
