Heartiest congratulations to our dear member, Captain Fariel Bilkis Ahmed (Ex-Shaheen SSC 2000 Batch), who has made history once again!

She has officially taken charge as the youngest female Captain of Biman Bangladesh Airlines' Boeing 777-300ER – the flagship aircraft of our national carrier. This is a monumental achievement in Bangladesh's aviation history!

A trailblazer since 2007 as the first female pilot in Bangladesh's private aviation sector, Captain Fariel has soared through challenges with unwavering determination. As a founding-era member of Club Shaheen Limited and proud ESAD alumna, her success fills our entire community with immense pride and inspiration.

Keep flying high, Fariel! Your journey motivates every Shaheenian to reach for the skies. We are so proud of you! ✈️🇧🇩

Dear Members of Ex Shaheens Association Dhaka (ESAD) and Club Shaheen Limited (CSL),

With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the passing of our beloved brother, Saleem Samad, from the Shaheen School SSC 1970 Batch. He breathed his last earlier today, February 22, 2026, at Bangladesh Medical College in Dhanmondi.

Saleem was an incredibly active and committed member of both ESAD and CSL since their very inception. His dedication, enthusiasm, and contributions to our community will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

We extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May Almighty Allah grant him eternal peace and give strength to those he leaves behind.

Funeral Arrangements:

Janaza namaz after Zuhr prayer in Lalmatia.
Subsequently, at 2:30 PM at the National Press Club.
Thereafter, at the Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU).

We encourage members who can attend to join in paying respects to our dear brother. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah.

Further details regarding burial or any memorial arrangements will be shared as they become available. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
