Shubho Noboborsho!
We wish everyone a happy new year. May The Almighty bring us happiness, fulfilment and glad tidings for us in the upcoming year.
Let us enjoy and bask in the new sun and leave behind the harmful past. Let's take reconnection, forgiveness and communication as our motto for the next year, and become a newer person to match with the new sun.

Freedom— an inseparable aspect of the human experience. Philosophers have argued that it is freedom that makes a man, and the taking of it is the most heinous crime towards someone.

55 years ago, a new state was born in east Bengal, claiming freedom after 214 years of foreign rule. Bangladesh was born with the vision of freedom, the vision of dignity towards all citizens.

On this Independence Day, we yearn to establish this freedom our forefathers had dreamt of. May The Almighty listen to our hopes and prayers and enable us to build a nation on the principles of freedom, dignity and justice.

Happy birthday General Secretary!

Mahtab Alam, ever since the beginning of MGBSELC's history, has been a crucial part of every decision and event. Beginning as Vice President, he anchored events, guided new executives, and made the club more efficient. Currently as general secretary, Mahtab Alam has been contributing more and more towards this club and its future.

We wish him a virtuous birthday and an enjoyable Eid ul Fitr. We pray that Allah the Almighty brings good upon his life.

Eid Mubarak! Eid Mubarak! Eid Mubarak!

We wish you all our deepest and warmest greetings on this Eid Ul Fitr. Let us recognize day of joy, thanksgiving and enjoy the moment. This Eid is different for many of us, as there's only a month left until our SSC examination, including the executive panel.

Connect with family, friends, loved ones. Go outside, visit relatives, talk with that friend you haven't talked to in months or years. Let this Eid be a moment for connecting, for breaking any grudges we might have against one another. We hope and pray to The Almighty to give us a joyous and pious Eid Ul Fitr, and extend our lives until the next Ramadan.

Language is what separates mankind from the animal kingdom. It's universal throughout the human race, though still, for some, the right to their language had to be earned through blood.

On the 21st of February, 1952, a movement unfolded that would forever change the future of these Bengal deltas. The right to Bangla was bought with the blood of the youth; adding another layer of red upon this rebellious land.

This date changed Bangladeshi history permanently. We acquired the right to speak in Bangla, and we learnt of what strength we hold. On this International Mother Language Day, we remember those who gave their lives so we could speak Bangla, and move forward with their spirit in our hearts.

The 2025 season is over, and we leave this year with mixed feelings. This year was a critical phase for the panelists, having multiple important exams throughout the year. But in the midst of this, we executed workshops, refreshed the panel and loads of internal work was done.

All in all, this year was a cornerstone in the evolution of Motijheel Government Boys' School English Language Club. We solidified and codified many internal topics, leaving a strong basis for upcoming panelists.

We wish you all a 2026 filled with blessings. We ask for prayers as well, as all of the MGBSELC panelists are candidates of the SSC exam of 2026.

A proud soul of the nation, gone but never forgotten. Rest in peace, Osman Hadi.

Sovereignty and freedom, rights that indistinguishable from life itself, are the basic building blocks on which a civilized society can build upon. Though, for many these rights are hard earned, through sacrifice and bloodshed. 54 years ago, on this fertile river delta of Bengal, a crusade of racist and inherently inhumane ideology was campaigned by the Pakistani political and military complex, who set out to extinguish the sovereignty of the people of Bangladesh. Months of bloodshed and guerilla warfare ensued and ensured victory and freedom on 16th of December. We commend each and every soul who fought, aided or simply resisted the occupying forces of Pakistan through any way they could, and we mourn those who did not live to see the free nation they fought for.
