Every child deserves a second chance.
Many students leave school not because they want to, but because life becomes too difficult — poverty, family pressure, lack of support.
At Education For Success (EFS), we believe dropping out is not the end of the story. It is just a pause — and together, we can help them start again.
Let’s stand beside those students who still dream of education but need guidance, support, and hope.
💙 One step can change a life.
💙 One conversation can bring a student back.
Join us in spreading awareness and bringing drop-out students back to education.

Korail Slum, Dhaka
During one of our field visits, we met a this young girl who had to leave school due to financial hardship. Her father is sick and unable to work, and her mother is the only earning member of a family of six. Now, she works to support her family and take care of her younger siblings.
But behind her responsibilities, there is still a dream.
She told us she once loved studying. She wanted to continue her education—but circumstances forced her to stop. No one in her family has ever reached college.
We spent time with her and her family, listening to their struggles and encouraging her to return to school again. It was a small conversation, but sometimes, a little support can bring back hope.
Bangladesh has made great progress in education, yet many children are still left behind due to poverty.
At EFS – Education for Sucess we are trying to reach those children—because we believe education is the only way to change a life.

Throwback to 2019 – National Youth Assembly.
I had the opportunity to stand with passionate youth volunteers from different universities across Bangladesh. During the session, I shared my thoughts on the importance of education for success and how education can transform lives.
Today, that same belief continues through my work with EFS – Education for Slum, where we encourage dropout students to return to education and build a better future.
Sometimes a vision starts with a conversation — and grows into a lifelong mission.

Recently, we visited a garments factory in Savar where we met several young workers who had dropped out of school because of economic difficulties. We had a meaningful conversation with them about the importance of education and how it can change their future.
During the discussion, we shared some inspiring success stories of students who returned to their studies after dropping out. We encouraged them not to give up on their dreams.
We also introduced them to Bangladesh Open University, where students do not need to attend college every day. Classes are mainly held on Fridays, and the cost is very affordable. This opportunity allows working students to continue their education while keeping their jobs.
Many of them showed interest and said they would think about it. We are very happy to share that two of them have already taken a step forward and admitted themselves to Bangladesh Open University in Grade 9 and Grade 11.
Small steps can create big changes. We hope more young people will return to education and build a brighter future.

From Housewife to Professional: The Power of Education
Meet Ishrat Jahan Moon. Her journey reminds us that education can truly transform lives.
Moon had to drop out of school in Grade 9 because of financial hardship and early marriage. Soon she became a young mother, taking care of her 4-year-old son while managing household responsibilities. Like many girls, her dreams of education seemed to fade away.
But her story did not end there. After six years, with courage and determination, Moon decided to return to education. Our team encouraged and motivated her to start again. With our support, she was connected with Pay It Forward Bangladesh, which provided her with a scholarship.
Through this support, Moon enrolled in Bangladesh Open University and successfully completed her SSC (10th Grade). Her determination did not stop there. She later got admitted to Daffodil Polytechnic Institute, where she completed a Diploma in Computer Engineering, again with scholarship support from Pay It Forward Bangladesh. Today, Moon is working at a national NGO.
Her journey—from a housewife who had dropped out of school to a student, and now a professional—is a powerful example of how education can change a life.
When we support one girl’s education, we change not only her future but also the future of her family and community.
This is the power of education.
This is why we continue our work.

A few weeks ago, I visited Korail slum in Dhaka while collecting data on school dropout. During the visit, I heard many stories from children who had stopped going to school. It was heartbreaking to see that many of them are still not aware of the importance of education.
I met a girl who left school last year. When I asked her why she stopped studying, she said that school was not important and that she did not like studying. It made me think—when the whole world talks about education as a basic right, why are some children still being left behind?
We talked for almost one and a half hours about her dreams, her future, and why education matters. By the end of our conversation, she told me she would try to go back to school again. I also collected her mother’s phone number so I can stay in touch and encourage her.
Sometimes real change begins with a simple conversation. I hope this small moment can help bring a brighter future for her.
If you want, I can also help you add **a strong final line or call for awareness** so the post becomes **more powerful and impactful for Facebook**. 🌱

Addressing school dropout starts with understanding the community.
These photos were taken during my recent visits to three slum communities in Dhaka North. The purpose of these visits was to collect information about children who have dropped out of school and to better understand the challenges faced by their families.
During the visits, I engaged with parents and guardians to raise awareness about the importance of continuing education. Many families shared the economic and social barriers that make it difficult for children to remain in school. Through discussion and encouragement, some guardians expressed their willingness to support their children in returning to their studies.
Community-level awareness and dialogue are small but important steps in addressing the issue of school dropout. Even a few children returning to education can create meaningful change for their futures.
Ensuring that every child has access to education requires collective effort, awareness, and continuous engagement with communities. 🌱
