Eastern University Inaugurated Tasty Treat Outlet on Campus

Eastern University inaugurated a new Tasty Treat outlet on its Ashulia Model Town campus, adding a well-known food brand to the university premises for the convenience of its students, faculty members, and officials.

The outlet was formally inaugurated by Barrister Safayet Mohammad Raju, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Eastern University. Officials from both Eastern University and Tasty Treat were present at the inauguration ceremony.

The inauguration of the Tasty Treat outlet marks a new addition to the campus facilities, reflecting Eastern University's continued efforts to create a more convenient and welcoming environment for its students, faculty members, and officials.

The newly opened outlet will serve the Eastern University community with a variety of food items, further enriching the campus experience for students, faculty members, and officials.

Eastern University held its 202nd Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting today at the University's Conference Room in Ashulia Model Town, Birulia, Dhaka. The meeting was presided over by Barrister Safayet Mohammad Raju, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Eastern University Foundation, in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani.

The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Trustees, the Treasurer, and other invited university officials.

As the University's highest governing body, the Board reviewed and approved key academic, administrative, and strategic matters, including institutional policies, financial planning, academic development, research and quality assurance initiatives, infrastructure development, and other decisions aimed at the continued growth and excellence of Eastern University.

Eastern University Celebrates World Pharmacists Day 2026 with Grandeur and Spirit 🌿🕊️

Eastern University’s Department of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Eastern University Pharma Club (EUPC), successfully observed World Pharmacists Day 2026 under the theme "Empowering pharmacists for healthier futures."

The day began with a symbol of harmony as pigeons were released into the sky, followed by an enthusiastic rally showcasing the crucial contribution of pharmacists to society. To promote environmental sustainability, a tree plantation program was also conducted on campus.

The central discussion program at Rezakul Haider Hall was graced by Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, as the Chief Guest. The session was chaired by Dr. Abu Bin Ihsan, Dean, School of Life Sciences & Head (In-Charge), Dept. of Pharmacy, with Prof. Dr. Firoj Ahmed, Advisor, Dept. of Pharmacy, attending as Guest of Honor. Distinguished industry leaders Mr. Tushar Kanti Pal and Dr. Md Abu Zafor Sadek attended as Special Guests, enlightening students on current trends and prospective career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.

The event also featured:
🏆 A Prize Distribution Ceremony rewarding the winners of the Pharma Debate, Pharma Hosting, and Quiz Competitions.
🎭 A vibrant cultural program featuring student dance performances and a musical recital by faculty member Ms. Humaira Bente Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy.

Eastern University Organizes Workshop on Stress Management for Law Students

The Office of the Counselor, Eastern University, organized a workshop on “Stress Management” for the students of the Department of Law on 22 September 2026 at the Eastern University Seminar Hall.

The workshop was conducted by Munia Zahan Mony, Psychology Counselor, Eastern University. The session focused on helping students understand stress, its common causes, and its effects on psychological and physical well-being. The discussion also highlighted the difference between helpful (positive) stress and harmful (negative) stress, enabling students to recognize when stress can be motivating and when it may become overwhelming or detrimental.

During the workshop, students were introduced to common signs and symptoms of stress and discussed how unhealthy coping strategies can negatively affect both mental and physical health. The session emphasized the importance of adopting healthy coping mechanisms, including relaxation techniques, positive thinking, effective time management, maintaining healthy routines, seeking social support, and expressing emotions in constructive ways.

The program aimed to promote greater awareness of stress management and encourage students to develop positive coping habits for a healthier and more balanced academic life.

Eastern University Holds 155th Admission Committee Meeting

Eastern University held its 155th Admission Committee Meeting today at the university's Conference Room, chaired by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani.

The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Trustees (BoT), the Treasurer, Deans, Heads of various departments and administrative offices, and officials from the Admission Department.

The committee discussed key matters related to student admission, university branding, and student support services. Special emphasis was placed on introducing new initiatives to attract prospective students, enhancing facilities for current students, and expanding financial assistance opportunities for deserving students facing economic hardship, including a referral-based tuition support initiative.

The meeting also reviewed and approved the proposed semester budget for the upcoming term and discussed departmental priorities to ensure smooth academic and administrative operations.

The session concluded with a renewed commitment to improving student experience, strengthening institutional outreach, and ensuring an efficient and inclusive admission process at Eastern University.
