🌿 Inauguration of Greenery Corner 🌿

We are pleased to announce the successful inauguration of our "Greenery Corner”, a dedicated space advancing environmental sustainability on our department .

The inauguration was graced by the presence of newly appointed Advisor of D**AEC,
✨Md. Babul Mia, Additional Secretary, Planning Commission,

✨Chairperson Prof. Dr. Syeda Lasna Kabir and

✨Asst. Prof. Adila Reza Hasan, Moderator of D**AEC.

The ceremony was highly successful due to the spontaneous participation and encouragement of our distinguished faculty members. Their continuous guidance inspires our student-led initiatives.

This Greenery Corner serves as a living symbol of our commitment to a sustainable tomorrow. It reminds us of our public administration responsibility toward environmental governance.

Lastly, Special appreciation to our High Panel Executives of 2026-2027, whose unwavering dedication, time and collective efforts brought life to the Greenery Corner, despite their academic and personal commitments.

The first edition of The PA Forum is here!

Today the students of 6th semester, 53rd batch (2022-23 session) published the official newsletter of the Department of Public Administration, University of Dhaka for the very first time. This issue highlights major departmental achievements, including the upcoming International Conference 2026, research initiatives, international collaborations, student accomplishments, seminars, publications, alumni activities, environmental campaigns and co-curricular events.

This initiative was taken by Chairperson Professor Dr. Syeda Lasna Kabir and was moderated by Assistant Professor Aaqib Zahid and Assistant Professor Md. Robiul Islam.

This marks the beginning of a platform that will continue to document D**A’s achievements and aspirations. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to making this achievement possible.

Seminar on "July Mass Uprising and Democratic Prospect in Bangladesh"

The Department of Public Administration hosted a seminar today focusing on the historic July Mass Uprising and the evolving democratic future of Bangladesh.

*Keynotes & Insights:**

Dr. Akram Hossain presented a paper titled *"July Mass Uprising and Democratic Prospect in Bangladesh,"* shedding light on the structural dynamics of youth mobilization, the post-uprising transition gap, and the pathways required for sustainable democratic consolidation.

**Engaging Discussion:**
The paper presentation was followed by an interactive discussion featuring active participation from faculty members and students. Attendees exchanged views on democratic reforms, civil society oversight, and the ongoing role of youth in shaping the nation's political trajectory.

The admission test for the 15th batch of the Executive MPA (ExMPA) program was successfully held today at the Department's examination hall in a highly enthusiastic and disciplined atmosphere. The results have been published, and all selected candidates are requested to complete their admission formalities between July 26 and August 10, 2026.
