আমার ভাইয়ের রক্তে রাঙানো একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি, আমি কি ভুলিতে পারি? আজ ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি, মহান শহিদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস। বাঙালির অন্তহীন প্রেরণার উৎস। ১৯৫২ সালের এইদিনে ভাষার দাবিতে জীবন উৎসর্গকারী সকল শহিদের প্রতি আমাদের বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধা।

We are pleased to inform you that BRAC University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with United Healthcare Services Ltd. (UHSL) recently to facilitate discounts on various healthcare services for the university’s alumni and their dependents.
Through this agreement, BRAC University alumni and their dependents (spouse, children and parents) will receive a 20% discount on all pathological tests carried out at Medix in Dhanmondi and another 10% for all diagnostic tests carried out at its radiology and imaging department.

Reports to: Head of Marketing & Business Development
Function: Marketing & Business Development
Location: Head Office, Dhaka
Key Job Responsibilities:
Establish, build and maintain relationships with channel broadcasters, channel distributors, and production houses both local and international in the context of target market for the company.
Develop and implement cost-effective and market driven strategies for content selection and sourcing as per requirement.
Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with content suppliers and review their contracts time to time.
Manage the payments to channels as well as the content providers.
Establish the required payment control mechanism with finance whenever required.
Analyze and research the content consumption habit (local and international) and new content potentials for the market time to time.
Coordinate with the technical team (channel partner & BEXCOM) to facilitate all changes in terms of equipment, parameter updates whenever required.
Coordinate with legal team to facilitate and safeguard the organization from content perspectives.
Coordination with PR and marketing team for co-branding/co-promotion/social media/website communications time to time.
Analyze the competitor or industry trends, both locally and worldwide, to help management offer a better pay tv product.
Explore new business/new partnership areas relevant to DTH business from OTT/IPTV and content perspective
Curate AKASH Channels in Entertainment, Infotainment & Kids genre and with live sports content
Ensure Ad sales or partnerships of the AKASH channel to make the channels commercially viable

Heartiest congratulations to Pritom Chowdhury, a BRAC University alumnus who has attained one of the Thayer School Graduate Student Fellowships, providing him tuition fees, a monthly stipend and insurance to study for a PhD at Dartmouth College in the United States. He graduated from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2015.

আন্তর্জাতিক বিতর্ক চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপ-এ ইতিহাসে প্রথমবারের মত বাংলাদেশের কোন টিম চ্যাম্পিয়ান হয়েছে!
শুধু বাংলাদেশের প্রথম টিম? না। এশিয়ার প্রথম দল হিসেবে তাদের এই অর্জন।

(BRAC A) এ বছরের Worlds University Debate Championship (WUDC) এর open category-এর গ্র্যান্ড ফাইনালে চ্যাম্পিয়ান! এই প্রতিযোগিতাটাকে আন্তর্জাতিক বিতর্কের জগতের world-cup বিবেচনা করা হয়।
সাজিদ আর সৌরদীপ কী করেছে তা একটু সহজ করে বলি সবার বোঝার জন্য। বিশ্বের সকল দেশের প্রথিতযশা প্রায় ৪০০’র বেশি দলের প্রতিযোগিতা WUDC. এই প্রতিযোগিতার ফাইনালে ওঠার আগে ওরা হারিয়েছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের আইভি লীগের প্রথম সারির বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হার্ভার্ড, শিকাগো, স্ট্যানফোর্ড ও যুক্তরাজ্যের অক্সফোর্ড, কেমব্রিজের মত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের টিমগুলোকে!! একবার কল্পনা করুন তো, যুক্তি এবং মেধার লড়াইয়ে কোনসব বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের দলগুলোকে হারিয়েছে ওরা!
আর ফাইনালে হারিয়েছে
যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের প্রিন্সটন এবং
ন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি অফ সিংগাপুরকে।
