মিলন সাহেবের ছেলে-মেয়েরা থাকে আমেরিকায়; পড়া-লেখা করে আমেরিকার স্কুল-কলেজে। মিলন সাহেবের পক্ষে তো বুঝা সম্ভব না কোমর সমান পানিতে ভিজে পরীক্ষার হলে উপস্থিত হয়ে ঐ ভেজা কাপড়ে ৩ ঘণ্টা পরীক্ষা দিতে কেমন লাগে। আজকে ভেজা কাপড় পড়ে যে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা ৩ ঘণ্টা পরীক্ষার হলে বসে পরীক্ষা দিল তাদের বড় একটা অংশ সর্দী-জ্বরে আক্রান্ত হবে আজ রাতের মধ্যে। এর প্রভাব পড়বে আগামী পরীক্ষাগুলোর উপরে।
মিলন সাহেবের পরীক্ষা চালিয়ে যাওয়ার সিদ্ধান্তে কবি কৃষ্ণচন্দ্র মজুমদার এর "বুঝিবে সে কিসে" কবিতার কথা মনে পড়ে গেল।

গবেষণা ও বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রকাশনার মান পরিমাপের আন্তর্জাতিক সূচক নেচার ইনডেক্সের সর্বশেষ র‍্যাংকিংয়ে রসায়ন বিষয়ে দেশের মধ্যে প্রথম স্থান অর্জন করেছে জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (জাবি)।

একই র‍্যাংকিংয়ে জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বায়োলজিক্যাল সায়েন্সেস বাংলাদেশে ১৬তম, আর্থ অ্যান্ড এনভায়রনমেন্টাল সায়েন্সেস ১১তম এবং হেলথ সায়েন্সেস ১৮তম অবস্থানে রয়েছে।
