URGENT NOTICE:
Strict Examination Punctuality and Late Arrival Policy (IGCSE & IAL)

Dear Students and Parents,
As we progress through the ongoing May/June examination series, we wish to remind everyone that maintaining the integrity and a quiet environment in the examination hall is our highest priority.

The British Council Bangladesh has noted a concerning pattern of candidates arriving late to the examination venues. Please read the following mandatory rules regarding reporting times and the strict procedures that will now be enforced.

Reporting Time and Venue Admission

- Absolute Deadline: You must report to the examination venue no later than 30 minutes after the reporting time printed on your Admission Ticket.
- Denial of Entry: Any candidate arriving after this 30-minute window may be refused entry to the examination.
- Final Discretion: Admission of late candidates is entirely at the discretion of the British Council, and their primary focus will be protecting the exam environment from disruption.

Procedure for Genuine, Unavoidable Emergencies

We understand that exceptional circumstances (such as severe traffic delays or medical emergencies) can happen. If you are facing a genuine emergency that will cause you to be late, you must follow this exact protocol:

1. Contact the School Immediately: The student or parent must call the school administration the moment an emergency arises.
2. School Escalsation: The school must notify the British Council at least one hour before the scheduled start of the exam session.
3. Case Evaluation: The British Council will assess the situation on an individual basis. Admission is not guaranteed.

Important: The British Council will not consider any requests that are submitted less than one hour before the exam, or any requests sent directly by parents/students. All emergencies must go through the school.

Why You Must Be On Time

These examinations are high-stakes assessments that directly impact your academic future. Arriving late disrupts your fellow peers, compromises the concentration of everyone in the hall, and risks the validity of exam results.
Please check your Admission Tickets carefully before every exam, plan your travel with extra buffer time, and ensure you arrive early.

🐝Champion of Words: Spelling Bee 2026! 👑

We are thrilled to announce the results of our recent Spelling Bee Competition! It was a day filled with intense focus, linguistic precision, and incredible sportsmanship as 42 of our brightest students took to the stage to showcase their mastery of the English language.
After several challenging rounds, we have our victors:

A huge congratulations to both winners for their dedication and hard work! The prizes were proudly handed over to our champions by our Vice Principal Ma'am, marking a memorable conclusion to this academic challenge.
