A group of women from Botanical Inks and The Bristol Weaving Mill have invented a way to make Cashmere scarves 100% biodegradable and can be planted in soil as biological nutrients. The limited-edition scarves were spun and dyed in Yorkshire and woven in Bristol. The scarves are dyed with natural colorings like plants, minerals and insects. So, it is completely safe to go back to ground.

GIZ (Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit)– with support of BGMEA has conducted a study titled ‘Feasibility study on scaling up the production of Technical Textile (TT) including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in Bangladesh’ which concluded that Bangladesh has immense potential to grab the $180bn technical textile market.
The results of the study were unveiled to the public through an online platform at the BGMEA head office on October 23,2021.
