Times Table Week: Nurturing Young Minds Through the Blessing of Knowledge
"And say: My Lord, increase me in knowledge." (Surah Ta-Ha, 20:114)
All praise is due to Allah (SWT) for granting our young learners another beautiful week of growth. The Primary Section recently celebrated Times Table Week, an enriching event designed to help our children build a strong foundation in multiplication tables and mental mathematics — skills that, in the light of Islam, are not merely academic tools but part of the amanah (trust) of knowledge Allah has blessed us with the capacity to seek.
Throughout the week, students engaged in interactive activities, quizzes, and friendly competitions, approaching each challenge with himmah (determination) and good character — supporting one another rather than seeing classmates as rivals, in keeping with the Prophetic teaching that a believer is a mirror to his brother.
Through consistent practice (a reflection of the value Islam places on sabr — patience and steady effort) and playful challenges, the children not only memorized their times tables but also sharpened their analytical thinking, quick recall, and problem-solving skills. May Allah make this knowledge a means of benefit for them — in their studies, and in every good they go on to do with it, insha'Allah.
