Big News | ASCE Student Chapter, MIST

We are incredibly proud to announce that the ASCE Student Chapter at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) has been awarded the "𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐄 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝"!

ASCE Region 10 represents 130 student chapters from across the globe outside the United States spanning Asia, the Pacific, and beyond. Out of all these chapters, we are honored and humbled to be the FIRST to receive this prestigious distinction. 🥇

This recognition is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and passion of every single member of our chapter from our executive committee to our general members who show up every day with a drive to grow as engineers and leaders.

Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Khondaker Sakil Ahmed, PEng, CEng, FICE sir for your continuous support and motivation throughout the phase. It's a great pleasure for us to have you as our pathfinder whenever we face difficulties.

Special appreciation for our former president Jayed Pasha vai for his continuous support and strength along the way.

Over the past year, our chapter has strived to:

With great pride and a deep sense of responsibility, we officially announce the 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐄 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓.

Under the global platform of the American Society of Civil Engineers at Military Institute of Science and Technology, this Presidential Committee carries the mandate to lead with integrity, strengthen our professional culture, and elevate the standards of civil engineering excellence within our community.

We firmly believe that our alumni are not just a part of our history but a driving force of our future and in 2026, alumni collaboration will stand as a strategic pillar of our leadership, transforming experience into mentorship, guidance, and lasting professional partnerships.

🎓 Successfully Organized | Webinar on Higher Studies Abroad 🌍

The ASCE Student Chapter, MIST successfully organized a webinar titled “Higher Studies Abroad: Opportunities, Challenges, and Strategies”, bringing together distinguished alumni and professionals to share their academic journeys and real-world insights.

The session provided valuable guidance on pursuing higher education abroad, covering application strategies, research pathways, challenges, and career prospects. We were honored to have speakers from leading universities and industries across the USA and Canada, making the discussion both informative and inspiring for aspiring students.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our respected faculty advisor Dr. Khondaker Shakil Ahmed, PEng, CEng, FICE for his invaluable support and heartfelt appreciation to our beloved speakers Dr A B M Tanvir pasha, Dr Syed Sadat Morshed, Md Shahjalal, Dr Md Fyaz Sadiq, host MD Abdulla Al Mamun , and participants for making this event a meaningful and impactful learning experience.
