We deeply mourn the passing of Sarif Osman Bin Hadi. His loss is deeply felt, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give strength and patience to those he leaves behind.

We are so proud to share that our very own Mahathir Mohammed has become the Novice Best Speaker of NSU Dialogue 2025!

Even as a completely new debater, Mahathir has been incredibly dedicated showing up, putting in the work, and improving at a really fast pace. He has given impressive speeches in the last few tournaments too, and this achievement shows how far he has come.

Congratulations to MISTDS-A with Ananyo Bijoy, Jannati Kabir Eshara and Abdullah Al - Mashrif - for becoming the undefeated champions of DCU Nationals 2025 at Chittagong University!
Ananyo Bijoy was also awarded Debater of the Final.

Our very own Rubayat Al Ahnaf Zarif, who only recently began his debating journey, also made an adjudicator break.

We are incredibly proud of our young stars and their remarkable achievements.

MISTDS A emerges as the Runner-Up of “IERDC Presents 50-50 Season 5, 2025”

“50-50” is an annual event organized by the Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka, dedicated to encouraging and promoting greater inclusion of women in debate and breaking long-standing barriers.

After five fierce rounds of competitive debating featuring many brilliant debaters, Jannati Kabir Eshara and Ananyo Bijoy of MISTDS A secured the Runner-Up position, following a thrilling final that ended in a narrow 3-2 split decision.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

A 22-year-old student of BUP was brutally r***d in Savar, Dhaka, while returning from tuition last Wednesday. This horrific act of violence is a stain on our collective conscience. Such cruelty demands immediate and uncompromising justice.

MIST Debating Society (MISTDS) stands in unwavering solidarity with the victim and her family. We demand the swift arrest and exemplary punishment of the perpetrators — Sohel Rojario, Biplob Rojario, and Mithu Bisshash.

We urge the authorities to act with urgency, integrity, and transparency to ensure justice is not just promised, but delivered.

Another semester comes to an end, but not our debating journey!!
We proudly wrapped up the Grand Finale of Debater’s Hunt 2025, marking yet another milestone for MIST Debating Society (MISTDS). The energy, passion, and dedication of our debaters truly made this event a memorable one.

MIST Debating Society Makes History at IIUM ABP 2025, Malaysia

The Military Institute of Science and Technology Debating Society (MISTDS) is proud to announce a historic achievement at the prestigious IIUM Kuantan Asian British Parliamentary Championship 2025.

MISTDS A, represented by Abdullah Al Mashrif and Ananyo Bijoy, emerged as one of the EFL breaking teams in this highly competitive tournament and concluded their outstanding run as EFL Semi-Finalists. This marks the first-ever international participation and break for MISTDS, a milestone that stands as a testament to the society’s growth and commitment to excellence.

We are also delighted to share that MISTDS ME, represented by Jannati Kabir Eshara and Mahathir Mohammed, secured *7 points in the preliminary rounds. For a debut international performance, this is a commendable achievement that reflects dedication and potential for future success.

MISTDS extends its deepest gratitude to Flying Officer Abdullah Ahnaf Karim, who joined the tournament as an adjudicator and served as group leader. His exemplary leadership, sense of responsibility, and unwavering support were instrumental in guiding the team toward this success.

This is only the beginning. What was once a long-awaited dream has now become reality, fulfilling the vision of our forerunners. With this spark ignited, MISTDS is committed to reaching even greater heights in the years ahead.
