The University is serving the citizens of the country through its instructions, research, and outreach programs and preparing Bangladesh to respond successfully to the challenges of global economy. (Possible suggestion: For educational programs in campus and beyond, the university is giving high priority on the use of new and outreach technologies available in the emerging information era.) Consistent with this commitment, the university is emphasizing on high quality education including a comprehensive general education that imparts the broad knowledge, skills, and values which are essential to educate and make citizens responsible as well as to ensure specialized career preparation for students. CDSTF Season Two was a huge success, filled with inspiring moments!

Arif Faisal, Programme Specialist, Environmental Sustainably and Energy at United Nations Development Programme in Bangladesh, led the Climate Action Pledge, urging immediate steps for a sustainable future. A panel discussion on Empowering Young Voices in the Climate Movement featured experts like Md. Abdul Quayyum (UNDP), Asikuzzaman (ICD), and Dr. Mahfuza Parveen (DIU).

We hosted a seminar on "Unlocking China 🇨🇳: Language, Research, Scholarship, and Business Prospects" on 16 February to share new pathways for scholars, researchers, and professionals to explore academic and career opportunities in China. Assoc. Professor at DIU & Doctoral Fellow at Beihang University, China Mr. Kaushik Sarker, from MalishaEdu, Ms. Alba Chen (Project Director) and Sheikh Sultan Ahmed (Deputy MD), shared their expertise, offering valuable insights and guidance to DIU students to explore research opportunities, business startup affiliation, language learning, living facilitates, study & scholarship tactics.

The opening day of the Community Digital Storytelling Festival - CDSTF, Season Two kicked off with insightful speeches, engaging screenings, and a thought-provoking panel discussion.

The speakers emphasized the festival's role as a crowdfunded, community-driven platform — the first of its kind in Bangladesh — with the ambition to reach global audiences through the power of digital storytelling.

The day concluded with screenings from the Independent and Journalism categories and a compelling panel discussion on "Storytelling in New Bangladesh: A Comprehensive Approach of Filmmaking” where the speakers were Ashwash M.A. Chowdhury, Broadcast Journalist at Channel 24, and Raka Noshin Nower, Founder, Producer & Film Director at Studio Yellow Something Ltd.

We are happy that 3 of our DIU students, Jahid Hasan Shovo from the Department of Real Estate, DIU, Rittik Chandra Das Turjy from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, DIU, and Azizul Haque from the Department of Real Estate, DIU, have achieved the 🇪🇺 Erasmus+ KA171 fully funded ICM Scholarship to study one semester (Spring 2025) in Turkiye🇹🇷 !

🌍 Our Turkish partner universities, Cankiri Karatekin University (CAKU), Istanbul Kültür University (IKU), and Afyon Kocatepe University (AKÜ) are hosting the students under the student exchange program with DIU. This exciting journey will allow them to study in a new academic setting, connect with international students, and immerse themselves in Turkish culture.

The DIU BNCC Platoon proudly participated in the Ramna Regiment Camp undergoing intensive training in discipline, leadership, and military tactics. From daily drills, physical training, and weapon handling to tactical exercises like raids and camouflage, our cadets embraced every challenge with dedication. They also showcased their skills in an inter-battalion competition, securing 10 medals in cultural events like song, acting, and media.

Beyond military training, the camp fostered teamwork, time management, and resilience, shaping our cadets into confident and responsible future leaders. This experience instilled a deep sense of patriotism and prepared them for greater challenges ahead. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and dedication to excellence.

Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of DIU. The agreement was officially signed by Mr. Khandoker Saffat Reza, CEO of LBSPLC, and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship (FBE) at DIU.

We were honored to host an insightful Masterclass on Leadership by Professor Dr. Hassan Diab, former Prime Minister of Lebanon 🇱🇧 . With over 300 DIU students in attendance, the session focused on key leadership skills, including Emotional Intelligence, Adaptive Leadership, and Decision-Making in a rapidly evolving world.

Professor Diab shared valuable insights on how future leaders can navigate global challenges with innovation and resilience. This session was also graced by the presence of the Ambassador of Palestine, adding further significance to this impactful event.
