🧠 Glioma doesn't wait — neither should your diagnosis.
TMSS Biomolecular Lab now offers comprehensive glioma molecular profiling using the Pillar oncoReveal™ CNV + RNA Fusion Panel — covering IDH1/2, EGFR, BRAF, NTRK, EGFRvIII, FGFR3 fusions & more in a single test.
Covered DNA Genes
Our DNA panel analyzes critical mutations and copy number variations (CNVs) to stratify adult and pediatric gliomas:
IDH1 and IDH2: Essential for classifying adult diffuse gliomas, including astrocytomas and oligodendrogliomas.
TP53 and PTEN: Key prognostic and diagnostic markers in high-grade astrocytomas.
EGFR: Detects critical point mutations and driving gene amplifications.
BRAF: Identifies V600E mutations crucial for pediatric gliomas and pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma.
PDGFRA: Highlights copy number gains and driving variations.
PIK3CA and PIK3R1: Assesses critical PI3K pathway alterations.
Covered RNA Fusions
Our RNA panel identifies structural variants and splice events driving distinct glioma subtypes:
EGFRvIII: Specific detection of the most common glioblastoma splice variant.
BRAF: Identifies fusions like KIAA1549-BRAF to confirm pilocytic astrocytomas.
FGFR3: Detects FGFR3-TACC3 fusions to identify targetable glioblastoma subsets.
NTRK1, NTRK2, and NTRK3: Broad fusion coverage to qualify patients for TRK inhibitor therapies.
MET: Assesses exon 14 skipping and fusion events.
